Give Bakula and Blalock unbilled cameos in Trek 11..

I don't wanna see Bakula and Blalock in Trek XI, but I'd appreciate at least one small reference to Enterprise.

Wasn't it established that Denobulans have a much longer life span than humans? Let's have a John Billingsley as Phlox cameo. Optimism, Captain Pike!

And why can't Trinneer do it also?

::cough::

Because.he's.DEAD. ;)

That minor technicality doesn't appear to be hurting Shatner's chances.

Anyway, there's no reason why Shatner's appearance in Trek XI can't take place in a time period before the events of "Generations".

I never warmed up to T'Pol. I don't know if it was more the writing or the performance but the character was not so much emotionless as she was intentionally condescending, overbearing, and rude. That's not how Spock was generally portrayed. She just annoyed me.

Maybe that's what the film should be: A film about a producer who tries to make a film about Star Trek, and the hilarity that ensues.

Galaxy Quest Part II! I'm perfectly serious. The greedy suits want to do a prequel, recasting the roles in a way that royallty pisses off the fans and send them storming the studio gates with torches and pitchforks.

Tim Allen = Adam Sandler
Sigourney Weaver = Jessica Alba
Alan Rickman = Bret Harrison (from Reaper)
Tony Shaloub = Shia LeBouf

Comedy GOLD! That movie practically writes itself.

Are you kidding, Spock could be a real prick. :rommie:

Are you really JJ Abrams ? I spent an hour with Bill shatner eariler this year. He should get a quick cameo in Trek 11. I have acted in a few shows, SAG projects as a non union actor. will Smith had me up by the camera last January in an outdoor 6 night shoot for I am Legend. I ended up in 4 close ups with Leonardo Dicaprio in a few scenes in Revolutionary Road. I also got intoa few shots with John Travolta and Robin Williams in a couple of scnes filmed in New York for Old Dogs. If i ever got into Trek 11 I'd be thrilled to get the waivers to join SAG so I ca nplay the role I would be suited for since I am a big 6'3" guy: An Enterprise Security Guard, an Engineer and if I had it my way the one role I would like to play is the father of Captain James T. Kirk.

Yes there is: Shatner's appearance!

TNG's actors barely got away with it in "All Good Things..." (Season Seven finale). Frakes and Sirtis did not get away with it in "These Are The Voyages..." (ENT). Patrick Stewart (sort of) got away with it in "X-Men 3", in an interesting CGI experiment. Shatner can't believably be a pre-"Generations" Kirk any more.

Let him do the "To boldly go..." closing monologue in post-production - and then "Go home!"

I depens if we see the lauch of the Enterprise then yes give Bakula a small Cameo making a speach otherwise there no reason to have him

On one condition only. Spock walks in and says, "Oh hi, grandma. Hi, granddad."

...and the fans burn down the theaters. :rommie:

In appreciation and excitement, I agree. :p

I do think Archer and T'Pol in a cameo would be great, and think they can handle it maturely without any relation to Spock but furthering on the ideas brought forward in TATV (ENT).

It'd be great if a cast member from Enterprise showed up in the movie. Possibly Connor Trinneer in old age makeup as an engineering instructor at the Academy. ;)
I won't hold my breath though.

The easiest way to do this would be a walk on part for Jeffrey Combs' Shran. Even those who utterly hated ENT (and want it decanonised) generally respected his part in updating the blue skins.

Everyone goes away happy. ENT fans see it as an acceptance of their show and everyone else just sees an Andorian in the background.

Shat, eat your heart out.

please, no. I'd rather have the Shat in it than those two.

Don't get me wrong, I love The Shat and want to see him in this movie. I just want something representing ENT as well.

I like Chris-o-meter-on-the-Pike-to-nowhere's (he he) idea of Combs as Shran. How about Gary Graham as Soval as well?

T'Pol could certainly still be alive in TOS' time. She looked really old and withered in ENT's "E2" but I always thought that was because of Trellium D exposure. Her 'real' aged appearance probably wouldn't be like that.

I seriously doubt ENT will be mentioned in this film at all. Abrams and his team will probably treat it as though ENT never happened.
