Give Bakula and Blalock unbilled cameos in Trek 11..

Bones1864

Admiral
Scott Bakula and Jolene Blalock should get unbilled cameos in Trek 11. No lines just a quick cameo sitting behind theoe desks at Starfleet Command. Bakula would get tons opf old age make up and so would T'Pol. It would make things flow. I imagine Jonathan Archer's input would have been involved with the design and construction of the Constitution Class starship.

No can do. It would conflict with their wedding. Which will be happening. I know because I'm J.J. Abrams.

Just remember to have them both die. Horribly. In a transporter accident. Caused by Simon Pegg. It introduces the 'comical' Scotty character pretty well. :)

On one condition only. Spock walks in and says, "Oh hi, grandma. Hi, granddad."

...and the fans burn down the theaters. :rommie:

I honestly don't like the idea of Trek XI being the old canon.

I think it should blaze it's own trail and create a new Trek.

I mean, say we get a Trek 12, and in it one of the characters is injured. We all know they won't die if it's one of our 7 people... Where is the fun in that?

We all know the Enterprise will be safe, etc.

If there is any sort of homage, it should be on paper or on screen... Like, "The T'Pol nebula" or something... USS Tucker, etc.

^

ST: Nemesis gave us the USS Archer, ya know.

So, ENT has gotten their big screen homage already.

:D

Something like this then? :p

I think it was Mike Sussman's idea for Archer to pass away the day after the NCC-1701's launch. So if that's a decade before Pike, a movie cameo is too much of a stretch. Jolene back in pointy ears could work though...

And she wouldn't require any old age makeup.

She's in her 60s in Enterprise, so a 160 year old vulcan doesn't look bad. Tuvok was over 100 at the end of Voyager and he looked no older than 35.

Spock aged because he's half human, of course.

Enterprise is the name of the ship in the movie

Its also the name of a television series

I think they said they'd make references to other shows. I don't think Enterprise is their priority, but its certainly a possibility they'd have something. Archer is supposed to be there for the launch of the ship (IAMD bio), but that would depend on the date of the movie. T'Pol could have a role too (I think I'd prefer one or the other, though).

Might be the most exciting part.

Maybe that's what the film should be: A film about a producer who tries to make a film about Star Trek, and the hilarity that ensues. That way, all the actors mentioned could be in the film... wining that they're not included and then teaming up and launching attacks on the studio in revenge. The film could conclude with an epic duel: Shatner v. Abrams, with Orci & Kurtzmann furiously feeding them zingers as the battle royale progresses.

With a cameo by Avery Brooks as Avery Brooks, the madman who's resentful DS9 never got a movie and has become convinced his life was actually written by Benny Russell, so he runs around writing his autobiography on the walls of Paramount studio. For no reason, chunks of the film would be intercut with this.

Hey, I'd watch it. :)

^ I don't know. Avery Brooks going all Sisko on their asses would be a scary thing indeed. But really, for full effect that would require bringing back Berman.

I'd pay good money to watch Avery Brooks walk into Berman's office and do to him what he did to Garak in In the Pale Moonlight.

Hoshi and Travis should be in it. Nobody but Enterprise fans would recognise them anyway and even then they'd struggle with Travis.
