Give A Little 'Whistle'

I wasn't aware that talking to yourself was illegal. Well, what do you know... I guess I'm a career criminal. And all this time I thought I was just crazy... ;)

As for whistling, I couldn't say... I've never been able to do it. :(

The sanity Police are on their way. ;) Sorry to hear that you are unable to whistle. It may make you feel better to know I am not a very good whistler.

Okay, "justified" might be a better word.

When we are all alone, is whistling a sort of justified, talking to ourselves?

I freak out my group members at school since I talk to myself when organising stuff during shoots  I try to dial it down to humming.

I don't so much talk to myself as argue with myself a lot. :bolian: [You ARE mad... - someone] Am I...? We shall see! ;)

As for whistling, is inhalational whistling a sign of the Devil? I often do it all the time in comblination with exhalational whistling, in order to prolong my whist-gasm. :bolian:

I whistle by myself, I sing by myself, I talk to myself. I see it as more of a sounding board thrown out into the air so one can hear how it might sound to someone else.

I wasn't able to whistle until 8th grade or so. Then I figured it out, and now i'm really good at it.

Whenever I start whistling the dog shows up. He should know the difference between me whistling for him to come and just whistling for the joy of it.

You know, I actually don't whistle, hum, sing, or talk when I'm by myself. There has been times, like on weekends, where I've been home alone for a couple of days and never made a sound. I don't do it on purpose, I guess I just talk to myself in my head. And I enjoy the silence.

And I was never very good at whistling. I can whistle, but only about two notes, so I could never whistle an actual tune.

There's nothing wrong with talking to yourself!

You've got serious problems if you get in an argument though.

Talking to yourself is the only way to ensure you're having an intelligent conversation, at least in my case. :)

Talking to cats is sane, they understand but only lack ability to respond.

What got this started was, I was alone here when I noticed I had started talking to myself. I suddenly felt very strange about it so to counter that feeling I quickly switched to whistling, apparently so anyone listening would not think I was crazy. :vulcan:
