Gilliams "The Zero Theorem": Cristoph Waltz, David Thewlis

All the reviews from Venice last year said it was a mess, but a Terry Gilliam mess isn't necessarily a bad thing.

So I watched that twice and I still have no clue what it's about. The production design is hideous as well. Gilliam is hit or miss with me, and my first impression here is miss.

I think it has potential at least as a spectacle film, but for better or worse I suspect it will lack the unique combination of circumstances that made Imaginarium so memorable.

Very excited, TG is one of my favorite directors... I really liked Imaginarium, and it's good to see Waltz working with him. My most-anticipated film of the year to be sure...

I love all of Terry Gilliam's films and this looks like my two favorite, Twelve Monkeys and Brazil (at least stylistically). Gilliam's style is not for everyone and that's fine, but I can't wait for it.
