How do you rate Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire?

Biggest issue I have with the movie is that the trailer was very misleading. It implied that the city was frozen earlier on in the movie and they had to transverse a frozen New York in order to face the villain. What we actually got just wasn’t as interesting.

Oh, I forgot to mention -- I loved the idea of the Possessor ghost. It was a very clever idea that was used well to make it very menacing. I love the idea of it possessing the cylinder to steal it, throwing it away, and possessing the garbage bag to run off with it.

Having it animate the library lion was a bit nostalgic for me, since back in college, I had ambitions of making an amateur sci-fi film, and one of the FX sequences I imagined doing would've been a stop-motion scene of an alien energy being possessing one of the university's trademark stone lions to attack the heroes. (I never got around to actually making it, though, since I realized I enjoyed planning it more than I would've enjoyed the work of making it, and the results would probably have been far less satisfying than they were in my imagination.)

But what trailer is these days? I don't think I've seen an accurate trailer for just about any movie. Sometimes they feature scenes that aren't in the movies themselves. Sometimes, things change between the early cuts and final release. But basically a trailer is trying to get people's butts in theatre seats.

Does anybody have any idea if or when this will be unlocked on Netflix for people who have the lowest with ads tier? That's all I have right now, and with money tight, I can't really move to a different one.

I wasn’t aware content was locked at different tiers. I just assumed you got more commercials

Yes, exactly. It wasn't about the sequence of events, it was about her state of mind. As Phoebe said, only Melody could open her own way to the other side.

Right, but it seemed to imply that the matchbook was the pin to all of it.

Now in retrospect, I suppose it was more about letting it go than the specific way it was used. Melody could have moved on by just being like "I don't need to hold onto this anymore" and it would have worked just as well. Just so happens that was how the realization came to be.

Yeah, same here. Are the tiers a recent thing? To lock things behind tiers seems a pretty crappy thing to do for paying customers.
It's been that way since they introduced the commercial tier, it's only a few things that are locked.
Frozen Empire, The Walking Dead, A Man Called Otto, the Voltron reboot, and a few other things I have on my watchlist are all locked.

A complicated one, from the sounds of it. Because if they've already paid their licenses, what's stopping them from offering it to everyone who subscribes? Is there a clause that says they can't distribute them to to a tier that has ads?

Max does the same thing. I'm really not that bothered by it, you always get different stuff when you sign up for different tiers with things like this.

I watched it on Netflix last night. It was a decent live action spin-off of "the Real Ghostbusters" cartoon but ultimately it was more a children's adventure film than anything. It also seemed as if only Bill Murray (who was only in it for about ten minutes total) and Kumail Ali Nanjiani remembered GB is supposed to be a comedy.
