GhostBusters 3 is Finally Being Made. (2020 Release)

Only problem would be that I'm sure the filmakers would put a mardis gras sequence in and that's another thing that's starting to become old hat.

Been thinking about this, and if they have to, then do it at the beginning, make it serve as the catalyst to the call going to the GB. Ghosts coming out to terrorize the populace during one of the biggest events of the year? Kind of epic. And by consequence, have Ray and Peter in town for a conference on the paranormal where they are on a panel. Could work.

New Orleans would be a GREAT choice. The town would lend itself well to high stakes shenanigans as well as a more spooky atmosphere. Only problem would be that I'm sure the filmakers would put a mardis gras sequence in and that's another thing that's starting to become old hat.

There are some really interesting cemeteries they could use. Maybe they would need to search for a corpse that was buried with an item?

Plus this:
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/not_touch_something_with_a_ten_foot_pole

Many believe this expression originates from a burial practice in New Orleans. The Spanish developed burial system of present day proceeds by first placing the casket of the patron in an above ground tomb. Exactly 1 year and 1 day after burial, the tomb is opened and the casket removed. The body is next wrapped in a sheet and shoved to the back of the tomb with a ten foot pole where it falls off the shelf to the bottom. The weather of the area caused the remains to decompose quickly and tombs are subsequently reused for many burial. The expression, "I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole," is thought to have originated from this burial process.

I could imagine making the new guy crawl in there to find something.

The three main things I hope they don't do.

1. Venkman is a ghost.
2. Spengler is a ghost.
3. Oscar is a Ghostbuster.

Perhaps you've never heard of Detroit.
Ghostbusters should avoid Detroit. That's Robo's turf. ;)

Detriot is Gotham now.

I think a threat in different cities would be interesting. You could say a ritual is set to take place and these cities are involved. They have to be split up

One Ghostbuster is in New York
Another Ghostbuster has to be in Louisiana
Another in Washington D.C

Louis wants to help but his flight is delayed so he's stuck. His proton pack won't clear the metal detectors.

I keep cycling back to this but would anyone be interested in a Ghostbusters live action tv series? It would be quite similar to the first seasons of Stargate Sg-1. It's also got a wise cracking leader and a team of four

Yeah, in fact, I think there's a very famous grave belonging to someone important, which I heard about on a TV show. And then there's the whole voodoo thing. Plenty of stuff out there and they don't necessarily have to dig for it (haha, yes, a pun) and it would pretty much write itself (maybe with ghost writers ;)).

Midnight's Edge couldn't find their brains or dicks with a magnifying glass.

You'd be hardpressed to find anything factually wrong in that video. It's an accurate assessment of why the female GB of 2016 failed, and the current controversy over GB3.

If the leads prove to be all male or most of them men, I would rather shit on this new movie.

Why's that? Whatever the gender makeup, I anticipate the lead (the equivalent to Bill Murray) will be Male. Our POV character.

From a marketing standpoint, it will help separate this film from the Failed 2016 reboot, since that pushed 'girl power' extra hard. I'm skeptical they'll have a woman front and center.

I would be. At this point think I'd be more interested in a TV series than another movie.

The new leads are a 12 year old boy and a 13 year old girl, I'm pretty sure that's how old the article said they were.

The whole channel is garbage and clickbait for people desperate to have their views supported, much like members of a cult.

Every fact they have came from the Sony email hack. This really shows when it came to non-Sony franchises where they just made shit up. Like how Star Trek Discovery was about Sarek using time travel and some nonsense about how it supposedly not being part of the Prime timeline was part of the plot.

Based on an article I read today the lead is a 12 year old girl. Female led movies just make money. Ghostbusters 2016 failed because it wasn't good, not because the cast were female. The same movie would a male cast would be just as successful, it just wouldn't have had the same childish backlash.
