Ghost in the Shell 2.0 anyone seen this?

The movie makes the plot more understandable, but leaves out a lot of good stuff.

Do you mean it makes it more understandable simply by virtue of condensing it, or does it actually add/change content? Just curious.

By condensing it. Like I said, my first watch of the series had long gaps between the disk sets being issued, so it was easy to lose track of what was going on. Even rewatching it one-ep-per-day, my limited attention span was a bit challenged (my problem, not the anime's).

Yoko Kanno, by herself, is a genius. Teamed with Auriga, the results are freaking divine.

Yoko Kanno is a bit hit or miss with me, I really enjoyed her work on the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex franchise though and I have all the soundtracks.

Oh, absolutely! I'm rewatching it now for the first time in years, and I'd forgotten just how draining her voice was!
I was channeling The Tick, "Voice actress... boring... losing... consciousness..."

Who doesn't want to watch an anime with a existential cyber-babe possessing a chassis strong enough to bench press a tank and the proportions of a porn princess? That should be motivation enough!

A bit more seriously, it is a bit ironic for someone seemingly so curious at first, asking all those questions, has yet to catch it.
