What's Von Flores doing these days?
Indeed...he really needs to be on something. He was great as Sandoval, even during EFC's worst times...
Agreed. And this is coming from someone who watched the entirety of
Earth: Final Conflict Season 5. (There were some very interesting things that they could have done with the character that they didn't. In particular, I would have had him turn into a good guy for a few episodes. Also, when Zo'or was resurrected as a female Atavus, I think she should have lost her virginity to Sandoval. That would have been wickedly fucked up fun!)
The entire cast of LOST since the show is ending this year. They need to be on my television.
Good lord, yes. Someone is going to have to start scribbling some great stuff if they're going to provide worthy roles to that crowd! So far, only Daniel Dae Kim has a gig that I've heard of - remake of
Hawaii Five-O, groan - hoping for better material than that for the rest of em.
There's some talk that Saaid (sp?) might become a regular on
Law & Order: SVU if/when Stabler leaves.
I wholeheartedly agree with Connor Trinneer. I believe he's yet to be cast in a role truly worthy of his talents. (
Enterprise was always a mediocre series and his character on
Stargate Atlantis was such a bad idea for so many reasons.)
Enver Gjokaj (formerly Victor on
Dollhouse) seems to be one of the most talented actors I've ever seen. Here's hoping his career is long, varied, & noteworthy.
I occasionally repost this 3/20/2008 pitch from
TemporalFlux and will continue to do so until someone makes this brilliant series that I call
Goddess of Justice:
The blindfold of Themis, the Greek goddess of justice, is stolen. The other gods care little, but Themis's sense of order will not let her rest until the scales are balanced for the offense. The only way Themis can find the culprit is to finally open her eyes, and she is left aghast at how the world has warped and broken the very system she helped to create.
No chaos can be ordered until the flaws are sorted, and Themis takes on the guise of an attorney to explore each facet of the injustice we have fostered through the guise of law. Her powers of prophecy limited by our more complicated world, Themis is largely left to her own wits to sate her passion for individual, human justice in a world that no longer believes in her.
The mystery of the thief also looms as we begin to suspect the introduction of Themis to our society was an intentional domino belonging to a larger scheme. If Themis discovers she is doing more harm than good, how will she judge herself?
I still say this would be a perfect vehicle for Amy Acker. She's beautiful enough to be a goddess, young enough to seem a naive you ingenue, and mature enough to convey authority when she needs to.
