They redid the credits in order to market the show as a children's program.

The way their heads, arms, and legs weren't connected to their bodies was kinda creepy.

Ah, and here I thought that they just couldn't separate the English credits from the background back then. Something that was actually the case in some older shows and cartoons where you can tell they just scribbled white-out onto the screen and, for example, switched out the original English name of an episode for the translated one (because god forbid the kids should read an English title on screen ).

But in all seriousness, these credits are pretty bad in comparison to the original.
