Generations - Kirk's Death: A question of stamina?

But he died too quickly. This is usually the case when a person is feeling a little less energetic and more world weary. Perhaps the whole mass of recent events were taking their toll on him? Perhaps it was all too much? In a sense, he gave up in a moment of un-Kirk like resignation.

I think it was more a lack of a good script, rather then stamina.

At any rate Kirk had been, moments earlier, chopping wood. After which he bolted off to ride a horse, so it didn't seem as if his stamina was lacking in any way. Picard could barely keep up, and he survived the whole incident.

I am not trolling here, so don't get the wrong idea but perhaps if the rocks were rubber like from the original ST, he would have survived?

Let's see...Kirk's death a lack of stamina...rubber rocks...what color socks the TOS characters wore.

Nope, not trolling at all.

When Picard is standing over his grave at the end, I'm sure he's thinking:
"Should've gone back and got Sulu instead. He had his own sword for a start!"

I'm sure Picard didn't exactly mentioned all the events of fighting Soran to Starfleet.

"What's that Jean Luc? You used a wibbly wobbly timey wimey rift to go back and get James T Kirk to help you? And he just happened to die before you could prove that to anyone?
Yeahhhhh....ok, see you next time.
*Presses communicator* Hey, Admiral? Yeah about giving the next Enterprise to Picard as a gesture...might wanna re-think that..."

Well, considering how time travel and other things happen by then, I doubt the press will be as they are today.

Dude, he has the body to prove his story. Easiest thing in the Galaxy for someone to visit that gravesite and take some samples, at the very least. Pretty sure Star Fleet would still have Kirk's DNA on file - if only because of paternity suits.
