Generations deleted scene - bridge of Enterprise-B

There is a deleted scene that takes place on the bridge of the Enterprise-B after the crew thinks Kirk died. Chekov is crying and Scotty reflects on how much was lost on the quick mission. I've seen this a couple of times on the web, and was very surprised it was not on the DVD release. Now, I can't find it anywhere...not even on youtube. Does anyone know how I can see it again?

Thanks.

April 1st was three days ago. ;)

No, seriously, I never heard of said scene. Chekov crying? I can't really imagine that. I'd like to see that, too.

Never heard of that one - I know there are a couple of deleted scenes, most famously the orbital skydiving sequence, but this one is news to me.

This is what I remember of the scene. SPOILERS below...

Chekov is at his post staring ahead, and Demora is next to him in shock. The quality is poor...like the skydiving scene on the DVD...but you can tell Chekov is crying. (He had to cry, scream, or be abducted somewhere, you know.) Harriman orders Demora to scan for any life signs in the vicinity of the ship, and she reports she can't find anything. Scotty says, in almost an annoyed tone, "a quick spin around the block," as to say they never would have thought a quick shakedown cruise would have such consequences...and probably feels guilty about helping convince Kirk to come to the christening. Chekov then barely gets out, "Captain...it can't be." Scotty is standing behind him, and says very slowly, "all things must come to an end, laddy." After another pause, Harriman says very solemnly, "let's go home." It's a quick scene, but I thought it would have been nice in the movie so we could see how these two reacted to the death of their friend. They could have done a similar fade away from the bridge to the outside of the ship and into the scene 78 years later like they have in the movie now without a problem (kind of like after Picard says, "and the sky's the limit" at the end of "All Good Things..."). Oh, well. I hope someone can find it, because I think you'll like seeing it.

You know, now that you mention the dialogue, it's ringing a very small, slightly cracked bell. Particularly the repeat of 'quick spin around the block'.

You know, it's possible Harriman said that to the reporters before they launched out of spacedock, and Scotty was quoting him.

That scene is 100% real.

It was filmed and Koenig gave several interviews decying the fact that they cut it out.
He felt his work was very good in the scene.
At the time he felt it would be his last ever scene as Chekov and he liked that he had a chance to emote.

All that said, I've never been lucky enough to see it!!:scream:

Interesting. I can't understand why they cut out Kirk's line to Harriman, about "cheating death together". It added a nice touch, the Captains warming to each other. It's something that made the trailer, but not the film.

^ I didn't know that. Does he talk about it right around where the scene would have been?

Said scene is in J.M. Dillard's novelization of Generations, too.

To be honest, I find it a bit far-fetched that Chekov would actually cry over Kirk's death. I haven't seen the scene though.

That was a great line from the trailer. I also wish it had made the cut.

Same here, i can hear it, but get swirly colors instead of a picture of the scene!!
Can you tell me what I'm doig wrong??
