General Trek Questions and Observations

So, three-part arc where the Federation loses the fight at the end of Part 1 but comes back for victory by the conclusion of Part 3.

It's a lot easier to binge Trek on a big screen. I'm 9 episodes into DS9 in under 24 hours. And if I can get my cats out of my easy chair, I'll start in on the "Allamaraine" one.

This will seem like a strange comment. But whenever I watch “Who Mourns For Adonais” I can’t stop staring at Apollo’s nipples. Or lack thereof. What is going on there?

Who would win in a fight: The Federation or the Terran Empire?
The Empire would rapidly make progress at first, but then it would be devastated from within when their nonhuman serfs, getting a good look at the Federation, either rebelled openly or sneaked off and asked for sanctuary. Ultimately, this would be its undoing.

Just another thought... I originally thought DS9 had really turned the corner on sexy female outfits. But I'd forgotten just how much Kira's early outfit showed off her butt.

I can buy that.

Is the "Vulcan has no moon" comment explainable by suggesting that Vulcan IS/was a moon, before something happened to make it planetary, and Vulcans differ on whether it is now a planet, or always a moon?

In "Spock's World", a Vulcan said that Vulcan didn't have a moon. A human responded something like, "you're right, it has a nightmare!"

Also established in TOS "The Man Trap":
UHURA: No, you have an answer. I'm an illogical woman who's beginning to feel too much a part of that communications console. Why don't you tell me I'm an attractive young lady, or ask me if I've ever been in love? Tell me how your planet Vulcan looks on a lazy evening when the moon is full.
SPOCK: Vulcan has no moon, Miss Uhura.
