General Trek Questions and Observations

1. Sometime after 2293, at least the first Starfleet replicator. Before then it was food and protein synthesizers and shipboard delivery systems.

Still, I'd expect that all you'd need to do to create a replicator is hooking up a slightly rewired mini-transporter to a database with scanned items and a storage of suitable base materials, the transporter being the hardest part of that setup by far, and that particular device existed by 2151 at the very latest.

Unless the transporter doesn't work with 'data' at all.

Commander Data has beamed to and from the Enterprise innumerable times. :p

Wasn't there a post here somewhere that was like 0-10 (idk) ensign
10-20 lieutenant junior grade
Etc, I can't find it anywhere!

Absolutely no idea who she is, and yes, I googled her.

On V: THE MINSERIES, Badler's Diana tells her reptilian underling Brian ''I see how you've risen in the ranks so quickly.'' She sounds quite annoyed by his ''romantic'' sucking-up. Never mind she's risen damn quickly herself for sucking up to HER superiors!

I thought the show kind of sucked at the time, but now I know why. :p

Most of the 1984-85 V weekly series wasn't that good. As a ten-year-old watching the Visitors battle Mike Donovan and Julie Parrish it was sufficiently fun Friday night viewing but even I could tell it wasn't as good as the two miniseries that preceded it. Given how the show turned into Dynasty with alien makeup and uniforms, Diana got in regular catfights (or would that be lizardfights?) with her female Visitor rivals and the hair got WAY bigger and goofier with the transition from miniseries event to lower-budget weekly series it's for the best it didn't get a second season.

Lowest point: when Mike and Julie wore Mike and Julie masks over their lizard ones just so they could get into a cliffhanger then make Diana look like a fool. I though the rebels were short on expenses. But we digress....

Between Nick Locarno and Tim Watters, the lesser-known counterpart to "badmirals" - the "badet".

Power corrupts at any level.

BTW, not a spoiler as Locarno was already making the others lie for him in TNG, so he already has an unethical past that we know of.

Can anyone tell me what was the argument between Spock and his father about the Cardassians, and who held what position on it?

Do you think Perrin was really the source of the rift between them? That is, maybe they would have made it up if she hadn't said to Spock "you can't come over anymore because you upset your father"?

Spock heard about a new assisted living facility on P'Jem and thought it would be a great place for Sarek. But he wasn't thrilled and used the events of the time as an excuse ....

I don’t believe there is any canon explanation beyond what was said in the episode.

At least I don’t recall any.
