Its so heartbreaking how quickly his ALS has advanced. At the same time it is so inspiring to see how full of joy he is. I can't wait to see him back in season 4, however that may be. Also, Mary Chieffo needs to come back to Discovery.
I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up in Strange New Worlds at some point.
But yeah she could easily show up outside of makeup (or even in different make up) in Discovery similar Kenneth.

Surprising considering PIC and SNW are apparently done filming their next season, and DIS is supposed to premier earlier - before the year is over in fact.
Last week, Wilson Cruz suggested on IG he was still filming the finale. Also yes, most shows have several weeks of "secondary unit filming" for reshoots and/or new scenes for a few weeks after principal photography is done. With COVID, it's taking longer to film. Season 2 of discovery had numerous reshoots and rewrites that caused the show to go weeks over its original production schedule.

Why did the human members of the crew need special permission to beam down to Earth? Wouldn’t they still be citizens?
It sounds like they are called “Time crystals” because they have crystal structures in 4 dimensions instead of 3. Not because they move magic time powers. Still exciting.
Are all humans automatically Earth citizens?
I don’t know if there’s a “Born on Earth” citizenship rule but if they were citizens in the 23rd century, there is probably no expiration date.
There’s probably at least a rule that children of citizens str citizens so the only non citizen humans are the ones who renounced their citizenship.
Very interesting question! Given how paranoid the United Earth Defense Force was, it's possible that anyone not currently living on Earth is not considered a citizen.
Or they need to verify who is wanting to come down to Earth. Just because you're a citizen doesn't mean you don't get checked out when coming back, especially after a couple of centuries of absence. The paranoia probably didn't help but doesn't seem unreasonable for them to secure permission first rather than just walking in like they own the place.
