Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

Someone on another forum is saying that Season 4 is listed on the Directors Guild of Canada (which we knew) with the specific preproduction date beginning ten days ago and filming starting in late October (which I don’t see anywhere on the site).

If anyone who can do a better job sifting through the site can corroborate those claims, nifty. If not, I’ll just file it away as hearsay.

anyway here's the post also this wasn't on the DGC but on the
International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees

ketwolski did a video on it. There’s two sources hinting at a fall/spring production, one being the Directors guild, and the other being the one above.

I had a feeling when I made that post that someone from the other place would comment on it. This is groovy though, thanks Kzinti!

Awesome, thanks.

For entirely selfish reasons, I'm glad DSC S3 isn't coming out just yet. (I never thought I'd say this!)

In the spring of 2010, I bought a 42" TV, LCD screen. And it just conked out. It looks like I just about got exactly 10 years out of it. Literally.

No way am I going to watch the third season of Discovery on my computer monitor. So I guess I have a new goal: buy a new TV before the season starts!
Three months later...

... I finally got the new TV! 50" UHD. Too bad the actual show itself isn't in 4K, but either way. Bring on Book! Bring on long-haired Burnham! Bring on the tattered Federation in ruins! Wait a minute... that last one came out wrong. But you know what I meant. ;)

Haha, congrats!

I'm curious why we haven't gotten another trailer. I thought for sure we would've seen something at this year's virtual SDCC.

I remember an exchange from Magnum Force. Clint Eastwood in a Dirty Harry movie no less. In 1973. Cutting and pasting from IMDB....

Harry Callahan: You know those guys?

Early Smith: They came through the Academy after me. They stick together like flypaper, you know? Everybody thought they were queer for each other.

Harry Callahan: Tell you something. If the rest of you could shoot like them, I wouldn't care if the whole damn department was queer.

.
.
.

If anyone complains about "SJWs!" I'm gonna tell them "Go ahead! Make my day."

"Ian Alexander (“The OA”) will play Gray, a trans man who has spent his life as a Trill planning to be a host for a symbiotic alien species that lives in different hosts over its lifetime."

That explains why the character was seen floating in the symbiote pool in the Season 3 trailer.

Oh the cringe in that 70's dialogue............

While I hope this character isn't Dax, I'd love to actually see the current Dax make an appearance. Love to see what they've been up to.

I think this is awesome news! Also, it shows how much the producers of Star Trek care about the Midnight’s Edge idiots of the world: not one bit.
It's funny, that's the first thing I thought when I read the news, that the people who hate Discovery are gonna flip.

At least I guess they'll have new content to "SJW/woke/or whatever" about, so they probably think it's awesome news too.

Season 3 of Discovery is really going to be something, I guess. They can do anything they want and not have to worry about people saying "this isn't Star Trek" or whatever. It's like, no, yes, this is Star Trek, it's Star Trek 930 into the future.

This is really cool, and interesting.

13 year old me that just figured out that she's trans and absolutely adores the Trill for related reasons would be very happy right now.
