Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

I just got my series 2 set and while it's got lots of featureettes they only included 2 short treks instead of all the ones they put out during the series.

A little disappointed with that.

Just finished watching the third season of TNG. As in right now. I'm going to roll into the fourth season and "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II" shortly but I wanted to post this while it's still fresh in my mind.

In Part I, Picard's in doubt about the survival of the Federation and Guinan says, "As long as a handful survive, you will prevail. Even if it takes a millennium." Considering where the third season of Discovery is heading, and the state it looks like the Federation is in, that line takes on new meaning. Especially when Saru says they want to make the future they've arrived in bright.

Nice find.....

Oh and that picture. Is Airiam coming back?

The Lt. Ariam thing is definitely an interesting find. She was mostly a robot, so I could see someone being able to find and repair her. But that then brings up the question of how the Discovery crew runs into her in the 31st century? Is she immortal?
Could also be a flashback.

I'm thinking in this timeline they are more or less public but after Kirk and others come on the scene they go a bit more covert and hidden.

Season 3 of Discovery was apparently filming in an old penitentiary

Heh ... the author and her Editor didn't do a very good fact check...

..."With season three of Star Trek: Discovery expected to be released in early 2019, very little is known about what will happen in the coming season. As such, the filming here in Kingston was kept under wraps until the cast and crew completed their final day of wrap-up yesterday." ...

One thing about modern life i like, is not having to go through two to three months of putting the wrong year on checks after New Years.

SMG said in a recent she thinks it's coming out in early 2020. But she's just an actor she wouldn't have all the information.

Picard likely runs to early-April. I imagine they'll put a few weeks between it and Discovery season three. So I'd say sometime between mid-May and mid-June.

Fact checking is so last decade.

Picard is 10 episodes, if there's no breaks between any episodes, it will end in late March.
