Most people I've seen described as Karens are actual assholes, not people trying to be assertive.
I'm not a fan of the meme, but I don't think it's used mostly by misogynists, in my experience at least.
Then again I don't follow people like that on social media, so I wouldn't be exposed to it.

Honestly, it strikes me as a rather ridiculous phrase. How many episodes do we need to have it earned?
Take however many episodes DSC will run total and add 100. Can't have goalposts without wheels.
