Star Trek Online has such a small market footprint that any impact it might have falls well within the margin of error.
Parrot Analytics is an unreliable source.
They count every tweet and every YouTube video with its views/comments as a "demand expression" for a particular property. They don't take into account if it's positive or negative.
Parrot Analytics don't disclose how they are limiting counting "demand expression" for a particular show within a bigger franchise. Do they count everything "Star Trek" related as a demand expression for STD?
Star Trek Online is especially difficult. Star Trek Online has STD content. There are days where Star Trek Online lore/gameplay videos on YouTube have more views than STD videos. Do Star Trek Online videos on YouTube, the views and comments, count as a "demand expression" for STD?
I was going to say, I follow a number of gamer YT channels and STO doesn't pop up very often. Anecdotal but still it's not content I see having a big impact.Star Trek Online has such a small market footprint that any impact it might have falls well within the margin of error.
I mean, Star Wars YT traffic is huge in comparison to Trek, in terms of comics, books, speculation, technology, and news. So, I don't think it is quite a fair comparison. Especially with Star Wars Squadrons being recently released. You may as well say that the Mandalorian is only that high because they're talking about the new Star Wars games or comics or whatever (I don't like Star Wars anymore, so fuck knows).
Season 4 (and Season 3 Episode 4)

I wonder how the usual suspects are going to spin this one.
EDIT: Whoops, I somehow missed that @RAMA already shared this news in the post above mine.
Get ready for that to go away. One thing I'm noticing about this season is far more location-shooting.
I'm going to guess you know how this season ties into "Calypso".Get ready for that to go away.
I do get some inside info, but in this case, no, it just means Covid caused them to invest in an AR wall for simulating location work. Sad, but the tech is actually very good.I'm going to guess you know how this season ties into "Calypso".

HAL? Is that you?Well if that other show on Disney can use one for good effect why not? AR walls are very cool tech.
I must admit to dark thoughts when the computer was all chirpy and said "come to the shuttlebay for a surprise" I was half expecting she'd lower the forcefield and they'd all be spaced.
HAL? Is that you?
