Never heard of him in my 50 plus years of fandom.
Likewise I'm sure he's never heard of you. I was just recommending a YouTube video, chill.

Quantity doesn't equal quality.

Why would he have heard of me? I'm not "a very popular voice on Trek and Star Wars"Likewise I'm sure he's never heard of you. I was just recommending a YouTube video, chill.
No. Henry's fairly reasonable.Let me guess: "Jar Jar Abrams!", "STD sucks!", "Orville rules!", "What have they done to Picard?" "SJWs!" "Mandalorian rules!", "Lower Decks is childish!"... the usual stuff? Am I in the ballpark?
I did that several posts ago when I said I wished I could have seen more of her. It's ok to admit they could have developed a character for longer than one episode. It's really ok to admit it was good but could have been BETTER.

I thought the character was a huge missed opportunity based on her performance in “Project Daedalus”.

More Airiam would have been good. Hopefully they learned their lesson and Linus will be featured in more episodes. ( or whoever you likeI thought the character was a huge missed opportunity based on her performance in “Project Daedalus”.
Hooray, we're getting somewhere. So the character development could have been better. Glad that's sorted.
It seems we now live in an era of always wishing for something other than what we have. Never here.Lots of things "could've been better"; that doesn't mean they weren't already good as they were, though.
Personally, I think anytime I see a reference to a youtube video, I'm going to do an internal mental Find and Replace with "This guy Phil down at the comic book shop." I think that gives their opinion the appropriate amount of weight.No. Henry's fairly reasonable.
I mean, that's completely fair. I don't give a whole lot of weight to these when it comes to Trek. So, yes I appreciate the skepticism. And, I don't think his arguments carry more weight. But, Henry is at least not conspiracy theorist peddling Kurtzman firing rumors.Personally, I think anytime I see a reference to a youtube video, I'm going to do an internal mental Find and Replace with "This guy Phil down at the comic book shop." That was sorted by most folks, myself included, way back in Season One. The Bridge Crew were mostly visually interesting ciphers good for telling us about shields, warp speeds and hailing frequencies. Poor Bryce and Rhys don't even have "visually interesting" going for them in Season One ( and stil don't)Hooray, we're getting somewhere. So the character development could have been better. Even a camera and flashy graphics won't change that.Personally, I think anytime I see a reference to a youtube video, I'm going to do an internal mental Find and Replace with "This guy Phil down at the comic book shop." I think that gives their opinion the appropriate amount of weight.

There's tons of top quality content on YouTube. I know there are also lots of negative videos, especially about Discovery, but that shouldn't disregard all the great work that is there.
