Any advice on buying a monitor extenders for my laptop, for my new job. Brands to avoid? Thanks
if it's the iphone proprietary format then you'll most likely end up paying for something (my wife recently had a work e-mail where some-one sent her a photo in that format) because there's little to no freeware to do it.Recently switched from Mac to PC but still have an iPhone and trying to go through my photos from it for the first time. Does anyone know a good app for PC which can correctly interpret iPhone image formats? Not going to go through and manually rotate thousands of pictures.

Well the smartarse reply would be cos it’s apple but it’s also possible that it allows better quality photos than compressed jpeg plus can do extra things to the pictures.I ended up plugging in my old computer to export the pictures to jpeg format. But paying a bit is fine. I just want to be able to offload my photos the same way I would on my old Mac. Why does Apple have such a dumb format? Punishing you for wanting the picture button on the left side and the volume buttons on the top.
I use IrfanView.
It's old school, and you can batch manipulate images.
Contact MS about it, file a bug report.Hey can anyone help with a little glitch I only just noticed. When doing app updates in windows on the list of installed and updated apps the date format is month / date / year which is different to my actual region settings which is English Australia, this and a few other apps are doing dates in the US format.

This is why you need to have a proper FaraDay Cage / Metal Box around your Computer to dampen Radio WavesNow this has me well and truly spooked

Usable data hacked from air-gapped computer
A team of software and information systems engineers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, in Israel, has demonstrated an ability to extract useful data from an air-gapped computer. The group has posted a paper to the arXiv preprint server describing their experiments and results.techxplore.com

Don't do that to your Router.Yep. You can buy a metal cage for your router for that exact purpose. Buuuuuuuuut it might stop working properly.
Don't do that to your Router.
And any Radio Antenna's for (WiFi / BT / Other Radio Related Standards) should be placed OUTSIDE of the Faraday cage.
That's why we have long cords to route the Antenna's to a optimum position =D.
If you see any MoBo's w/ Antenna physically attached to the back, DON'T buy them.
Only buy options with Antenna's that have a wire that can let you place the Antenna a long distance away from your PC or device.
Those will never beat the option where you have a cord that lets you place the Antenna's anywhere you want to have a "Optimum Line of Sight / Height" towards the Wirelss Router. My PC has a wifi card that I purchased and the two antennas screw on the backplate of the card and can be swiveled and moved.

Fair enough.Oh for sure but since the pc is in the same room as the router on another table it doesn't really impact it at all.
