General Chang

I like Chang. I find him much more effective than the typical feature film Trek Vengeance villian. I loved Shatner and Plummer's playing off of each other. Two Shakespearean actors (Shatner was Plummer's understudy back in their Stratford days, for the few that didn't already know that) having a hell of a scenery chew-off.

"We need breathing room!"
"Earth, Hitler, 1939."
:bolian:

Chang was a great deal more subtle than say Worf, for one thing I don't think that Chang would have tried to shoot a viewing screen.

Sorry Locutus, I'm not following the line of thought here?

Another thought, was the TUC conspiracy retconned into a Section 31 plot in the novels? Seems like a gimmee.

You don't remember that soon after we saw Worf for the first time, he took his phaser to apparently shoot the viewing screen where we could see Q? He was even berated for it by Picard.

I didn't watch much TNG. It didn't air on any channel I had growing up and the few episodes I saw I didn't care for / don't remember very well. I went from TOS to DS9.

You have to admit though, that worf wasn't too subtle there.

I would call Worf many things. Subtle is not one of them. Still not sure how that connects to my liking Chang/ Shatner and Plummer's playing off of each other? It's pretty late though and I'm sick so I may be a little slow at the moment.

No, what I said is that I can't imagine Chang taking his disruptor to shoot a viewing screen, like worf almost did.
