The reactions of the Vulcans (Tuvok, Vorik) about Janeway's resurrection were odd, at best. I'm curious how everything's going to play out in future event. Atonement and PFOL are as good as bought.
For anyone who may have been worried about Admiral Janeway living through the events of Atonement, I'm pleased that you were worried, but no, not going there again. Let's just say...it's been done and I have no interest in repeating the past.
As for some of PFOL being spoiled, I'm surprised at that catalogue blurb...it missed the juiciest spoiler in that one was far as I'm concerned.
While the story of the "other" Janeway has been rolling around in my head for years (with almost no chance of ever seeing the light of day for the longest time) the reason to tell this story now was largely because the timing allowed me to bring Tuvok back for this particular adventure.
By all means, enjoy yourselves for the next few months.

All three of the races mentioned in the blurb appeared or were mentioned in the Year of Hell two-parter. So I think probably, yes...
And given that the reset button at the end of that two parter was possibly the most annoying in all of Star Trek (in many ways, that two parter was a more interesting version of the Voyager story than the whole rest of Voyager) I am SO ready for that episode to turn out to have actual consequences in the real timeline.
My opinion is: If ANYONE can make sense of multiple Janeways, left-over Borg, catoms, and one mysterious junior officer named Jim that oddly knows what-is-what but is unfamiliar with a console, It would be KMFB.
Of course, all speculation.
Jim can't be Control for ALL the Universe.
The shoe-phone gives it away.
!and remember: I DID NOT SAY AGENT 86!
(Sorry, KFMB, I had to STIR the pot)
LOLOLOLOL.

The popcorn is always a good idea, but in the interest of appropriate expectations....Garak does not meet Janeway in Atonement. She remains in the Delta Quadrant while he is still in the Alpha Quadrant as Cardassia's Ambassador to the Federation. To say more about who he does meet with might be spoiling things, so I won't.
And yes, chatting with Una regarding his appearance was a great deal of fun. I only wish she and I had cause to collaborate more often as she is a spectacular writer. She was most helpful in suggestions, and also provided me with an number of great excerpts to read to add to my understanding of the character. Also, an excellent excuse to finally read A Stitch in Time, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
This makes me so happy! Thanks Kirsten for really working with Una; it would be great if you did have more chances to collaborate with her. Also I was very cheered to see you get a special mention by DRG in his new novel - can I ask how you collaborated or helped him with it (and David Mack too)? Is it reviewing drafts, discussing ideas or other kinds of work?
I'm laughing at myself now; I just spent 20 minutes stressing over whether or not I wanted to read the PFOL blurb, eventually flipped a coin, and it wasn't even a spoiler!!
I'm reading Destiny at the moment after a hiatus from the Star Trek universe due to exams, assignments and getting hooked on the X-Files (90s sci-fi is my one true love) but I'm glad to be back and can't wait for Atonement!!
I just pre-ordered the paperback because I've decided to get physical copies of things and actually get around to reading them, but I was surprised to see that there is no available Kindle version. Maybe try again closer to the time?

It's not quite as specific as any of that, although discussing ideas comes pretty close. Basically, both of these excruciatingly excellent authors have, over the last few years, become dear friends and my first calls (along with Chris Bennett) when I am lost or confused or need to bounce a challenging idea off of someone. And sometimes, I do the same for them.
Can't believe we are a month away from Atonement being available at Shoreleave. I do hope those that get it early will use spoiler tags generously out of respect for those who will have to wait until the end of August for it to drop.
Well then now I have a good reason to watch Year of hell again, and which one ... ? ok I understand you should not give too much away
By the way I don't say it often enough but I very much enjoy your Voyager relaunch novels and always looks forward to the next one.
Please keep the mantle as long as you wish
