Gaping plot hole which may have been covered already!

Its possible the supernova shockwave material was deposited somewhere else, in another area and time of the 23rd century where Spock and Nero weren't looking or aware. Plus, we forget that Nero and Spock might have been pulled in after the last remnants of the shockwave were already sucked up and so there'd be nothing else to deposit.

One thing to remember: The Shockwave is more of an effect than actual matter itself, so it would not travel through.

I believe anything entering a Black Hole normally is in fact destroyed, but the Narada and the Jellyfish both have subspace fields, Warp Fields, that may have aided in protecting both vessels.

In addition, if Countdown is considered, the Jellyfish was built for extreme environments, such as the atmosphere of a star etc., and could have technology that would protect it if activated.

Also based on Countdown, the Narada has some Romulan/Borg hybrid technology, so it may be in a state of constant regeneration, which would also explain it's size, internal arrangement and appearance.

^ I think that since none of us have actually ever been through a black hole or a sungularity, there is no such thing as a "wrong" opinion with respect to time dilation.

If any of us were through a black hole, I'd be surprised (since you can't return from beyond the event horizon, even if you could get there.... haha)!

Voyager flies in between two binary stars and gets shot out like Superman's fist squeezing a bar of soap and all she suffers are a few sparks, but now we're worried about spaghettification?

The TMP Enterprise managed to slip in and out of a wormhole more or less intact.

A wormhole and BLACK hole are two dramatically different phenomena, even in the fictional TREK universe.
From what I understand they are related.
The Schwarzschild metric admits negative square root as well as positive square root solutions for the geometry.

The complete Schwarzschild geometry consists of a black hole, a white hole, and two Universes connected at their horizons by a wormhole.

The negative square root solution inside the horizon represents a white hole. A white hole is a black hole running backwards in time. Just as black holes swallow things irretrievably, so also do white holes spit them out. White holes cannot exist, since they violate the second law of thermodynamics.

General Relativity is time symmetric. It does not know about the second law of thermodynamics, and it does not know about which way cause and effect go. But we do.

The negative square root solution outside the horizon represents another Universe. The wormhole joining the two separate Universes is known as the Einstein-Rosen bridge.

Didn't V'ger fall into a black hole in TMP as well? If a 20th Century probe can survive the trip I think a couple of 24th Century starships should be okay.
