With the recent announcement of Bioshock Infinite the time seems auspicious for another of these threads.
For my part I'm dividing my list into two categories: games I'm already looking forward to and in need of no further convincing as to the merits thereof, and games whose development I'm following with some interest.
The former:
Diablo III (PC)
Civilization V (PC)
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (PC)
Bioshock Infinite (PC/X360/PS3)
Portal 2 (PC/X360/PC)
Fate of the World (PC)
The latter:
Guild Wars 2 (PC)
XCOM (PC/X360/PS3)
Journey (PSN)
Carrier Command: Gaea Mission (PC)
Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii)
Tropico 4 (PC)
And to stretch the term 'game' beyond any burden it can be expected to bear: the Nintendo 3DS.
Potentially interesting titles about which very little is currently known (Mechwarrior, Thief 4, etc.) are excluded from the above lists.
