I'll save Worf and K'Ehleyr. K'Ehleyr's intelligence, humor, and strength made her not only a wonderful mate but also a great foil to our stoic Klingon officer. And Michael Dorn and Suzie Plakson played well off one another, showing some good chemistry. I'm still a little pissed at how they killed her off off-screen, though.

K'Ehleyr was a great character. Loved finally seeing a Klingon who wasn't just about dull honour and violence.

As for my pick as much as I loved Winn/Dukat and the cheeky side of me would pick 7/Raffi my official pick is :
Bashir/Ezri as I was glad to see one of my favourite characters in Bashir happy and I was madly in love with Ezri as a teen so I couldn't help but fall for them

Saving Kira/Bareil.

I am saving it more for what I believe is a key effect on Kira and her growth. I think some of Bareil's centerness and at peacefulness rubbed off a bit on her at a time when she needed it the most. I think it led to the rest of her growth. She likely would have grown anyway, but I feel it would have taken much longer. He was a good influence on her basically.

Pulling Culber/Stamets. I've always thought, aside from Sisko/Yates and Miles/Kieko, this was one of the best, most relatable relationships in Trek.

Saving Sisko/Jennifer - I recently rewatched The Emissary, and the amount of emotion; both happy to see her again on the beach, and the pain of seeing her dead again really moved me. He truly loved her.
Also, because of her, Sisko also gave us the best father figure that we've seen in Trek.

We only see them touch hands in their only real scene together. It does imply a relationship, but because there are no scenes or dialogue to support this, it is conjecture. Or at the start of the 'relationship'.

In other words, I don't think it belongs on the list because it is not an actual relationship. At least, for the moment. Season 2 will almost certainly address this, but Seven and Chakotay at least got actual scenes and dialogue showing them in a relationship, so that counts, despite how much I dislike the idea of it being shoehorned into just the finale.

Been busy and haven't saved anyone yet this game, so I'll start with Worf/Ezri -- I was NOT enthused to hear we'd be spending time exploring this in the last season, but I thought the Worf/Ezri final arc material was fantastically written and strong enough to entirely justify Ezri's presence on the series all on it's own.

I wondered about this

and maybe I'm misremembering the details, but I don't think they explicitly told us those two were actually sexually involved -- I read it more as a brother/sister relationship of no boundaries and creepy behavior, but not a fully incestuous one.

Still, something to check out on a rewatch. I also wondered about Soji & Narek (were there ever real feelings from his side?) and Jurati & Maddox, but left them off as well... maybe they'll all end up on the list the next time it's played.

Why isn't James T. Kirk listed?

We did have Kirk & Carol Marcus on the list when this game was played in 2019, then this time I thought it was maybe too much of a reach and that all Kirk's relationships were more of the ROTW variety. Maybe they should also go back on next time, I hadn't realized Kirk was totally missing with that pairing removed...

I know this will be controversial...but I'm going to pull Tyler/Burnham. Lots of people felt this was completely lacking in chemistry, but I think the awkwardness was part of the realism. Tyler was messed up, and Burnham is still struggling with properly processing emotions.

I actually kinda liked Worf/Troi
Troi/Riker always seemed more like a part of their backstory and I found kinda eh that their relationship got passionate again after so many years of being lukewarm.
Worf/jadzia...never convinced me.

But Worf/Troi was something that we saw unfold on screen and which I could see work,, theoretically, even if it only existed for a short time.

[Seven of Five]

I remember liking Worf/Troi originally, but then I only came to TNG at the end of season six, and had strange opinions in retrospect.

I also have Genesis as a very guilty pleasure mostly for remembering how much my auntie jumped off the sofa when Barclay-spider dropped.

Anyway...

Odo/Female Shapeshifter was a fascinating one. Seeing their relationship build from when Odo discovered his true origins was always an interesting one. I did like how Changelings wouldn't harm one another, allowing for more and more encounters between the two. I always liked the Female Shapeshifter's incredulity at everything he did with the Solids.

Then by the time the Occupation Arc hits, she is stuck in the Alpha Quadrant, seeking out her friend to be around a familiar face. They spend so much time together linking, and even practising sex, that he truly doesn't even remember to help his friends out.

It was a dark time for Odo. I just wish that some consequences had come out of this, as opposed to the half-baked way they did go, by spending a night in wardrobe, off-screen, and solving all the problems.

I like when they do these pre built romances. No need for awkward flirting or a silly stuck on planet episode to get it on just here's 2 people already in a relationship no explanation required done.

Saving Sisko/Jennifer - I recently rewatched The Emissary, and the amount of emotion; both happy to see her again on the beach, and the pain of seeing her dead again really moved me

Saw this for the first time in years a month ago and Brooks acting really stands out and he makes it feel so real. Especially compared to what we usually get in season 1 of any Trek

Odo/Female Shapeshifter was a fascinating one.

I loved how trippy Odo always seemed after a join. It added to the whole situation when it looked like Odo was either fucking her or getting drugged by her

Tuvok/T'Pel, because I always liked how, in the episode where Voyager's crew were visualizing what they wanted most in the Alpha Quadrant ("Bliss"), Tuvok's dream was to get back to his wife. And when he spoke of her in the series, it was typically with a low-key intensity in which one could easily see his deep connection with her.

Kelvin Sulu/Ben. I have HAD IT with this move of "here's a gay character! hugging in the background with no lines." But I will wave this pairing thru for at least having good intentions. I loved the idea of it when I heard it, though the execution was lacking.

And I did find it meaningful that this non-speaking gay husband is the stand-in to make us care at all for the giant faceless mass of Yorktown residents.
