Spoilers Game of Thrones: The Final Season

As angry and frustrated as I am with where the end of the series is clearly headed, I find myself bristling at the accusations of racism I've been seeing leveled elsewhere against the episode for the brutal and unforgiving fashion in which Missandei was killed and for Jaime's decision to return to Cersei after having seemingly turned over a new leaf by being vulnerable enough with Brienne to earn enough trust from her that she chose to have her first intimate experience with him.

Neither of those things, while heartbreaking, are inconsistent with previous seasons in either shocking content or character writing.

I think Jaime is going back to kill Cersei.

Inspired by Twitter (of all places), I've decided to take perverse joy in watching Dany pull a Seth Rollins and "burn it down" over the next two episodes as a counter to my anger over what David and Dan have decided to reduce her story to.

Cersei is going to rue the day she "woke the dragon", even if innocent Westerosi citizens pay the price.

RE: Jaime

That's the way I read the scene, and what I'd been thinking for a while anyway. Prophecy had a brother killing her, no? So it was either going to be Tyrion, more likely Jaime, or if you want to stretch it for fun, Jaime by way of childbirth, possibly resulting in a dwarf baby to boot so both brothers symbolically were in on it...

Jon cannot keep his mouth shut. He is so naive. Now Varys is conspiring against the Dragon Queen, knowing there is another heir to the throne.

Is Varys looking for someone to manipulate, to sit on the throne ? Dany maybe getting mad like her father but Jon is so naive.

I feel sad for Dany. She just lost 2 of her close advisors, Jorah and Missandei. It does not look good for her.

Cersei should die right at the hands of her brother, Jaime. It will complete their storyline.

Sad to see Tormund and Ghost go back to the far North.

I did not like Bronn punching Tyrion like that but being a true sellsword, he jumped at the better offer. But he was right about noble houses being descended from men who knew how to kill and accumulate power as a result.

Sansa, Bran and Arya make a good trio as the last of the Starks.

According to the after episode behind the scenes, Jaime was not going back to Kings Landing to kill Cersei. I'm sure his reasoning can change though.

If something I just saw turns out to be accurate, there's a very specific reason that the "Valonquar" part of Maggy the Frog's prophecy from the novels was left out of the TV series.

No one left but Grey Worm. And according to rumors, he's going to die by Jon's hand anyway.

Everything about that scene was right besides Bronn's anger. He's an amoral sellsword, but he's generally cheerful about his amorality - that's his whole character in a nutshell. He arguably had reason to be angry at Jamie, but no real reason to be mad at Tyrion that I can remember.

Well, Tyrion did help bring Daenerys to Westeros...along with her three dragons. He's clearly not happy about the dragons in particular.

It was to prove that if they did not double her offer he would end it right there.........#done

Given that the entire season has already been shot, potential information about the future would be a leak rather than a rumor.

There are conflicting leaks about what happens in the final episode though - for example whether Jon takes the Iron Throne or sods back up to the North after all is said and done with someone else on the throne.

Since the leaks conflict with one another (and not a single one has been proven 100% true to date, unlike last season) there's clearly "disinformation" that HBO is pushing out. Hence I don't think saying "X is rumored" is really all that predictive.

Rhaegal's death was shocking and sums up the show's end theme for me. 1 Dragon and 2 Targaryen's basically means that Westeros has only room for one Targaryen. I would like to know how one has a Naval fleet surprise them when you have Dragons in the air and can see for miles

Dany has become the very thing I feared from the start, THE MAD QUEEN.

The exact moment sat at the table, when that paranoid look crossed her face was the moment she became the next Tyrant, the next villain waiting in the wings. She has always lusted for power like everyone who has ever set their eyes upon the Iron Throne and such a leader will always become the true enemy. Jon is not only the rightful heir to the Throne under the laws of the Seven Kingdom but he is the right person.

There can be no peace as long as Cersi or Dany remain alive, the last scene shown that. One will fall to Ayra and the other...

We'll see ;)

PS - There's an image doing the rounds on Twitter, they left a Starbucks cup in a shot by accident at the dinner/drinks scene :guffaw:

Got a link to it? I wanna see it!

I'm thinking that Jamie is going to try to kill his sister. As for Dany, damn... I'm thinking she's a goner. Not sure what Jon will do to try to stop her on that one. Wondering if either Dany or Cersei will be the one to kill him (possibly).

Dammit. So he's going to help her or try to convince her? There's no convincing her of anything. She's a power hungry person.

I would've used spoiler tags, but this isn't important enough to argue over.

With somebody in the crew having screwed up and a Starbucks cup being clearly visible in-camera during the episode's big Winterfell banquet scene (for the person above who asked for a link), I can envision a lot of viewers needing to meme the heck out of things in order to cope with the outrage that the series' ending is most likely going to generate.

That's not a mistake, that's a famous ancient Northern House that was at the gathering...

David and Dan make it clear in the "Inside the Episode" featurette that such isn't the case, and, as I alluded to earlier, stuff I've seen indicates that there's a very specific reason that the Valonquar part of Maggy the Frog's prophecy wasn't included in the television series:
Neither of Cersei's brothers has anything to do with causing her death, although she and Jaime do perish together
