Gal Gadot cast as Wonder Woman In ‘Batman Vs. Superman’

I admit, I think I'm going to have to take back my previous comments.

Looking at the two directors wikipedia pages, McLaren's credits definitely bring WW to mind a lot quicker than Jenkins'. Not that Jenkins' couldn't do a good job, after all the Russos credits mostly consisted of primetime sitcoms before TWS, and they did an awesome job.

The Crimean War seems like kind of a random period to stick WW in. I don't really see where it relates to any of the stuff you usually associated Diana with. If it were me, I think I would rather see either a modern story, maybe Cold War era, or a full on Ancient Greek fantasy story. I would think for the character's first movie, you'd want to stick to some of the most common stuff for the character, to introduce her most familiar elements to the public.

From Captain James Kirk to Captain Steve Rogers.. err I mean Trevor.

Who better to romance WW than Capt. Kirk himself? But seriously, given what I've seen of Steve Trevor, Pine would be near-perfect casting.

What? They aren't going for the obvious and getting Lynda Carter to be Hippolyta?
Hippolyta is supposed to be a young woman, as the Amazons are immortal. Carter wouldn't work (and it would be gimmicky besides, like casting Adam West as Alfred).

Or casting John Wesley Shipp as Barry Allen's father... Or casting Helen Slater and Dean Cain as Supergirl's adoptive parents... Or casting Helen Slater as Clark Kent's biological mother and Christopher Reeve as his mentor...

But yeah, Hippolyta should be ageless.

The Wonder Woman movie reportedly starts shooting this fall, and the two-part Justice League sometime in the spring. On the off-chance BvS is a huge bomb (though even I, who loathed MoS, think it's likely to do quite well), I imagine the Justice League movies could theoretically be canceled, but the WW movie is definitely, positively happening. Just in case anyone was still wondering (I was, vaguely).

Wow, wasn't sure I'd ever see the day when we'd not only get a Wonder Woman movie, but a Batman/Superman move, a Justice League movie, and TV series featuring Supergirl, Flash, Green Arrow, and the Atom!

Just too much good stuff.

Tay, did you ever try Camelot? It was Original Programming from Stars a few years back. It's not that good. Arthur and Guinevere were wet, but Eva Green played a fantastically evil yet tragic Morgan LeFay.

Eva Green and Sean Bean would be awesome villains. Another rumor I saw the other day said the movie might be set during WWI. Why are people so obsessed with it being a period piece? Aren't the majority of Wonder Woman's comic stories set during what was the present when it was written? I never really thought period stories were that big a part of her character.
