Talking tigers belong with Shazam!
WB should slate her for Shazam.
Billy, Black Adam and Tawney The Talking Tiger.

From what people are saying on CBR; rumors allege that they were divided over when the film should be set (time period) and MacLaren wanting Diana to have a talking tiger sidekick.
The difference there being that Marvel Studios' track record is by this point widely admired, while many people think the WB's only success was the Nolan Batman movies.God damn it DC. First you throw away Joss Whedon and now Michelle MacLaren. Stop screwing this up.
Curse you Marvel! You parted ways with Edgar Wright, Edward Norton, Jon Favreau and Patty Jenkins over creative differences. Stop screwing this up!

The official reason for her leaving is 'creative differences,' and that seems legit according to the scuttlebutt that has reached me. MacLaren and Warner Bros couldn't agree on anything - including what time period to set the movie. More than that, MacLaren had some very particular visions for the film, visions that maybe would have alienated fandom. Although perhaps Diana having a tiger sidekick/pet she could talk with would have appealed to people more than I expect.

We may have dodged a bullet.

Okay, that should clear this up. A tiger she could talk with is not the same thing as "a talking tiger." Wonder Woman's power set in the comics includes the ability to talk to animals. So presumably this would be a normal tiger, with Diana's powers enabling her to communicate with it. That's no weirder than Aquaman being able to talk to sea life. See also Doctor Doolittle, Doctor Who ("I speak horse"), Tarzan, etc.
After all the fuss that was made about getting a female director for the world's premiere female superhero, I suspect it probably does.Hopefully WB slates another director soon to keep their filming schedule for this fall on time. Does it have to be a woman though?

Who, I have no idea. If they're looking at grabbing up-and-coming talent, Ana Lily Amirpour might be worth a look-in.

Now had it been a talking tiger with machine guns....
