Per Variety, the WB is looking to hire Michelle MacLaren (various episodes of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones) to direct Wonder Woman's solo movie.

I think she is an excellent choice based on the episodes I have seen her direct.
Michelle MacLaren is an amazing director. I would love to see her try her hand at a superhero film.
Those are definitely two very good shows to choose from, as far as TV directors go.
Although I'm wondering if she had much input into the writing and storytelling of those episodes as well, since that's such a huge part of what these movie directors have to do now. It may not be enough that she simply knows how to direct really well.

Fantastic choice. MacLaren directed some of the best episodes of Breaking Bad. She's an incredible talent.
But aren't TV shows a writer's and producers medium, kind of the opposite of movies where the director has final say?
Tone and style are set basically with the pilot and a director's job is pretty much meant to follow that on television (generally speaking, of course).
I'm not challenging her talent, by any means, I'm just wondering if it's tougher to judge based on a television show where the director has less power and control over the final product.

It's about time MacLaren got a big action movie. She's fantastic.
In Movies, a Director's job is determined by Who the Producer(s) is. A Director on a Movie's job may be anywhere from being given a completed script and a Cast and told to make the movie, all the way up to a Producer giving a checklist of what they want in a movie and being told to go out and comission a Script and cast the roles
I agree. Great news for the Wonder Woman movie, but sad that television will likely be losing one of its finest current directors to other future big screen projects.
Hopefully this leads to all of the recognition and accolades that MacLaren rightfully deserves. She's come a long way from her early days as Chris Carter's assistant on the X-Files.
If nothing else, it's nice to finally have someone else directing one of these DC movies besides Zack Snyder.

I thought he only did one movie for DC so far? (And at 2 movies per year getting pumped out, it's pretty impossible he'd be able to do all upcoming ones as well... Snyder was never going to direct Wonder Woman)
Yeah I know he was never going to make them all, but he was still the only confirmed director for a long while, and had already been given five movies to do (MOS, BvS, Justice League part 1, Justice League part 2, and the eventual MOS sequel).

Cyborg, Wonder Woman and the rest are all up for other directors, announced or not. Wonder Woman has the female director, and was always going to get that as far as the studio was concerned. Cyborg will have a black director, and they're courting Nemo for Aquaman, if they could just find him...

I think heels are ridiculous. The more higher, the more ridiculous. Imagine if "she" wasn't wearing heels, and just walked around on "her" tippy toes because "she" felt like like it? I don't mean now and then for a few seconds, but ALWAYS. That has to be a worrying psychological dysfunction, surely?
Why would someone who can fly, who can hover a foot off the ground for as long as she feels like it, have a crippling brain disorder about being 2 inches shorter than all the other girls vying for a mate?
(I'm odd. Don't throw your heels out, most people into girls love, love, love the illusion heels create. Regardless of your fashion choices, there's a good chance that you're fine just the way you are.)
