In the end, who cares what BBC calls it?
Only Moffat apparently and he's backing a loser so far...

That's probably true in the U.K., but I don't think it's the same anywhere else, really. I mean, I can walk into any book store here and find something written by Neil Gaiman, but if I wanted to find anything written by Davies or Moffat, I'm pretty sure I would have to order it from amazon.co.uk.Ummmm. I'm fairly certain that the guy who created Queer As Folk (a huge hit that spawned an incredibly successful American remake) and the guy who created Coupling are at least as big, if not bigger, names than Gaiman's.
QFT.^Yes but Davies and Moffat don't write many books whereas Gaiman does. If you asked most regular joes who they knew best I bet more people would say they'd watched Queer as Folk or Coupling than would have gone to see Stardust.
Again, I know lots of people who've read books by Neil Gaiman, but I'm almost certain that nobody around me has ever heard of either Queer as Folk or Coupling.^Yes but Davies and Moffat don't write many books whereas Gaiman does. All of them. I'm talking about girls who like Harry Potter. And how many of those people you know who've read Gaiman are Not-We?
