Gaffs on Trek...

What is your favorite Gaffe on Trek...

In TNG episode "Unification" pt 2, I recall one scene in which a character is walking across a room, and there is some kind of vase on a table. The vase is made a reflective material, and in the reflection you see a crew member chewing gum :). It goes by pretty fast, however, if you know where and when to look it's right there for all to see...

Resistance is Futile

One of the first I noticed was the orange marker buoys floating behind the HMS Enterprise in Generations.

The Voyager episode Investigations. As Tom escapes in the Kazon shuttle, he puts his hand through the window, and grabs the frame to steady himself.

For scripting gaffes, it's the ever changing Enterprise-E that does it for me. Picard tells Lily that the ship has 24 decks. Daniels says the Borg have Decks 26 up to 11. Fast forward to Nemesis, the Viceroy (for reasons I can't even begin to fathom), beams onto the ship to capture Picard on Deck 29. Riker and the Viceroy have a little tete-a-tete in a Jefferies tube and fall onto a gantry which crosses over a chasm (again, logic fails me) and the Viceroy falls to his death. So far in fact that he fades from view.

Just how big is that ship?! :scream:

it's actually gaffes but I'll let it go THIS TIME ;)

There are actually quite a number of them. Dr. Crusher wearing a watch, a phaser blast coming from the torpedo bay, Kira's upside-down commbadge, Tom Paris' hand goes out the window while at the helm of an alien vessel, several matte black boards used to mask the aft bridge panels are visible...

My favorite script gaffe was in MIRI when Kirk and McCoy talked about the disease. Kirk: "We don't even know what it is we're fighting". McCoy: "No, but we know what it is and how fast it does it."

I guess McCoy was so affected by the disease he didn't understand Kirk's comment.
