G.I. JOE: Resolute

I was anxiously looking forward to this and then bang it was horrible. The art was shoddy at slapdash at best. I think they wasted the best artists on the ninja traiining and used interns to draw the rest. The story also was less than effective. Good to see the joes did such a great job of checking out Cobra island after beating them the lsat time. Did we really need to see that the carriers location was classified after it was bellowing smoke for half the movie? Yea no one saw that at all. Once again Cobra commander lives. Better to have killed him off here and let someone new don the mask and take over Cobra. This movie really needed Serpantor!!

the Storm Shadow/Snake Eyes origin was completely different to the 1980s Marvel comics.
So they went out of their way to change it to that incredibly played-out nonsense?

Also, apparently the seventh path to the sun is punching someone really hard in the head. I'm not convinced Storm Shadow couldn't have figured that out for himself.:p

yes.

Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Stalker all served in 'Nam together. After the war, Snake Eyes was left orphaned and sisterless after his family were wiped out in a car-crash. he travelled to Japan and joined Storm Shadow's ninja clan. He was actually better than SS. SS's uncle (the Hard Master) was murdered by Zartan, but it seemed like SS had done it. SS subsequently joined Cobra to find the assassin, not knowing who it was, only that they were linked to Cobra. SE returned to the US and lived in a cabin in the High Sierras, with a wolf. When Stalker and Hawk were putting together the Joe team they went and recruited him. He then met and fell for Scarlett and subsequently got scarred and lost his voice when he tried saving Scarlett from a crashing helicopter.

Stormy later found out Zartan was the killer, tried to kill him and got shot, died, was reborn and joined the Joes.

Also, quick question to anyone who knows: does Snakeyes know ASL?

Yes. That's how he communicated (mostly) with the others in the Marvel comics.
Cool.
