(Disney+ calls it Season 11 because they have the TV versions of the movies as seasons.) Episodes come out Mondays on Disney+ in Canada (I don't know about other countries), and Hulu in the USA Episode 1 aired yesterday, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurama_(season_8)
Tell that to Billy West's normal speaking voice. His Fry is starting to sound older than the Professor.
I thought it was great. It's just...the same show, with the same feel and sense of humor. I was hoping they'd start it by having Bender wake up in the ruins of the Simpsons' basement.
I was hoping Bender would refuse to switch back on for the whole first episode until they gave him more money . . . for no particular reason.
On a related note, I noticed in the credits John DiMaggio is now the first actor listed, as opposed to all the previous seasons it was Billy West. I'm guessing that was the concession they had to make to get DiMaggio back?
I don't know if the premiere will go down as an all time classic, but was fun, and good start to the season.
Reposting what I said in the other thread: Yup, that was a lot of fun. I don't need a deep, tear-jerking episodes until later in the season. Have some crazy fun (and at Hulu's expense, just like Comedy Central before) is all I needed from the first episode. Also, as much as I loved The Scary Mirror, I really want to watch Stranger Fonts!
Off the top of my head, there was CSI Ceti Alpha V. Which I can totally imagine. "Victim was an up and coming musician. We found evidence of a Ceti Eel in his ear." "Seems this musician had-" *slips sunglasses on* "-an ear worm."
Come to think of it the news caster was alive so they must just be straight up ignoring the crossover.
Disney+ needs to learn how to count. The 4 movies are counted as one season (S5). Episode one was good old Futurama silliness and it's a welcome re-re-revival. Hard to believe it's been 10 years since the last season. @1001001 must be happy with the re-resurrection of Calculon
If you mean having 16 episodes instead of four movies, it's because each of the movies was split up into four episodes when they aired on Comedy Central.
Tuskin indicated Disney seems to be considering the 4 movies/16 episodes as 4 seasons, hence the "season 11" malarkey.
