Fun classic Trek lines you would like to see in the next Trek movie?

Re: Fun classic Trek lines you would like to see in the next Trek movi

I would love to hear Kirk actually say "Beam me up, Scotty!" for once.

They... threw me a few curves. No time to explain. ;)

Not everyone carries their genitals in the same place.

Will you try for a minute to stop thinking with your glands?!

"What am I -- a doctor or a MOON shuttle conductor?"

"Who's been holdin' up the damn elevator?!"

Hee!!

I think it'd be cool to fit in a line from Amok Time: "You may find that having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true."-- Spock

This could be directed at Jim for any number of reasons, and many fans of the series would recognize it from a classic episode. I also like it because it gives Spock some dimension and wisdom beyond cold, hard logic.

Side note: Did Karl Urban ever get to say "I'm a doctor, not a..." in ST XI?

Well, yes-- it was something along the lines of "I'm a doctor not a damn physics professor" though that's not exactly it.

I'd like to hear "Pull out the plug, Spock." I don't remember where it's from, but I like it. And "hailing frequencies open" deserves at least one airing.

Re: Fun classic Trek lines you would like to see in the next Trek movi

"It's worked do far, but we're not out yet."

Now, I bet you're singing *that* song in your head ;)

Re: Fun classic Trek lines you would like to see in the next Trek movi

"Hello boys...I've always wanted to play to a captive audience."

Now go ahead and TRY to tell me you don't want a naked Zoe Saldana saying that.

^Umm... no, I don't.

I really want to hear McCoy giving advice to Kirk re:
"In this galaxy there's a mathematical probability of three million Earth type planets, and in all the universe three million million galaxies like this, and in all of that, and perhaps more, only one of each of us. Don't destroy the one named Kirk."

McCoy to Kirk, in the episode "Balance of Terror"

Also, any of Scotty's classic lines. I was surprised how well Simon Pegg did them.

Re: Fun classic Trek lines you would like to see in the next Trek movi

" You green blooded son of a bitch!"

"He's dead Jim."

"Klingins."

"I'm a doctor not a ____!"

" Engage"

I also vote for "KLINGINS" - I loved that in "Friday's Child"!

Re: Fun classic Trek lines you would like to see in the next Trek movi

"It had the advantage of never having been tried."

Hmm. I wonder what he'd be saying that about?

Re: Fun classic Trek lines you would like to see in the next Trek movi

"Shut up, Spock - we're rescuing you!"

. . . I'd like to hear “Pull out the plug, Spock.” I don't remember where it's from, but I like it.
The line “Pull out its plug, Mister Spock” is from “The Return of the Archons.”

Which reminds me...

You are NOT of the body!

You will be... absorbed.

No laughing!

I'll make a lot of people go away!
