Honestly, I still think the Star Wars prequels are better than any Trek film made to date. Trek films really suck.TerriO said:

Now, see? There's proof that Trek and Wars can play well together.
(Personally, I thought the prequels were abysmal, and would have loved to have seen Padme involved more, especially in that cut scene with her and Mon Mothma, because that would have rocked. But instead of actual story, we get more setup for the toys. But that's JMO, YMMV.)

Final Frontier & Nemesis are far far worse than anything in the prequels. At the very least the prequels were visually intertaining and artistically breath taking. Trek films had the budget to give us new worlds and breath taking scenes. What did we get? The drab and dark insides of ships and brown barren desert planets just like we've seen on TV. Where is Trek boldly going?

Star Wars films have always been about broad themes. The Force, battle of good and evil, the birth of the Empire. One is dark and small; the other is expansive and glows.
You can love both Star Wars and Star Trek.

I find it very difficult to compare these really different kinds of franchises. That they are both set in space seems to be the only -- yet superficial -- similarity. IMHO, they are about completely different things.

Oh I don't know about that. Nemesis was just the last in a string of bad films (with a few exceptions). Trek was heading for the dumpster anyway by that point. Only the best Trek movie of all time could have saved it.
