That would certainly explain why we didn't see Evil Nina during Seasons 1 - 3. But it does beg a question, though: If there was no Bell and MD in the alt-verse, then how did alt-Nina end up with a bionic arm?

The whole thing about the alternate universe, when you think of Walternate and Bolivia, it's a tougher world. [Fringe showrunners] Jeff [Pinkner] and Joel [Wyman] said that in this world there was no William Bell, there's no Massive Dynamic. So Mean-a has the same intelligence, ambition, drive, yet she's thwarted her whole life, until Jones shows up and says, "Hey you can be part of this. Oh by the way, we're going to cut off your arm." And she's desperate enough to be part of things that she says yes. It's a much more craven quality than our Nina, who keeps things really close to the vest.

Awesome episode and I did get the Future Guy vibe as well. If there are Space Nazis in the next episode, I'm out. :)

OK, late to the party yet once again...

Thought it was a solid episode, answered some neat questions, but still left the majority un-answered. Still do not understand freaky guy's motivations. Character is SOOO one dimensional but well acted.

I'm hoping the put an end to this Peter-Olivia-multi timeline-circle jerk they've been stringing us on with. I've grown really tired of it. Let the timeline reset and let's move on.... I'd love to see the two timelines crashing together... Would be pretty cool...

I'm happy that they sort of addressed Henry, who I was afraid just got forgotten like that lady on Heroes.

The Observers are more or less what I guessed they were. But we still don't know why September was shot or why Olivia has to die.

I'm annoyed with Peter, because no matter spelled out September made things, he seemed to misunderstand them. Twice. And Peter is supposed to be not just a genius but fairly street wise as well and I think his sudden turn for the numbskull does disservice to the character. I can see this blooming into something much bigger by the end of the season and I don't like it.

It was a good episode, though. Actually, I voted Very Good.

But we still don't know why September was shot or why Olivia has to die.
She doesn't have to die. She simply always does die in the futures September looked into. A fact that September seemed upset by.

My guess is he gets shot trying to save her, as the interaction of an Observer was probably not part of the futures he had peered into when he first stated that.
