It bugged me all day but I finally remembered why the actor, Chin Han, who played Neil looked familiar...then I realized that he played Lau in The Dark Knight. I always hate it when there's an actor I recognize but can't figure out where from. Sometimes it takes me out of an episode or movie. Good thing that the episode was engaging enough to where that didn't happen last night. The plot wasn't all that special but the character interaction and acting more than made up for it.

The whole Astrid business really saved the episode.

The villain came across as an unappealing lunatic though. He discovers a device which accurately predicts the future and the only thing he uses it for is to essentially euthanise people who might have otherwise suffered because he believes that's what God wants him to do with it. Yeah, sure. On to the mental home with you.

But like I said, at least both Astrids were likeable characters with some great interaction with each other as well as Walter.

I'm disappointed that they never actually delved into why Astrid 2.0 was autistic, or whatever her deal was. Astrid 1.0 never even asked what happened or seemed shocked that she was that way. Or anyone else. They all just treated her like a child.

More pressing matters probably pushed that curiosity out of the way; were it dealt with, people would complain about short shrift. Hope there will be an episode dealing with it though... very good acting on her part, too. Almost on par with the contrast between the Dunham duels.

That would make sense concerning the vibe between them this episode.
In the
"previously on" segment they had Walter say his famous line about Peter falling for Altlivia's "vagenda" but this time they changed the line so Walter says that "I" almost or did fall for her vagenda. So seduction does seem to have played some role.
