Friends and Girlfriends

I call non-girlfriend girlfriends as "Platonic Friends For Now."

I tend to differentiate between "my girl friend" (meaning friend who happens to be female) and "my woman". Sadly, I have a few of the former (as I have few firm friends in general), and little to none of the latter (so far).

I just say friends but my mom still says girlfriends when referring to her female friends. For guys, she just says 'guy friend' or friend.
