FRIDAYS CHILD (LITERALLY)

Hello all

Watched Fridays Child and then went to IMDB to see if the child (which basically only had a few close ups) was credited

It wasn't (Unless I missed it)

So, I figured I would come here to see if anyone at all happened to know if the kid grew up, went to school, then returned to the business or went on to become a brain surgeon or dentist or something. It's just one of those annoying little tickles at the back of your mind where you catch notice of someone in an episode (someone that's only in the background for a few minutes and not the main cast) and you wonder what they're doing now Though I know with this case being a newborn and not even credited on IMDB my chances are pretty slim but I figured i would try anyway.

The answer is still unknown.
I wonder if the name might possibly be listed in any of the behind-the-scenes production paperwork, and if said paperwork might possibly be available at the UCLA archives. And if any of our board members in the LA area might possibly be kind enough to take a look. :techman:

Incidentally, the same question was asked on this board back in 2014: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/baby-l-j-akarr.258178/
Nobody knew then, either.

In those days, large families were a lot more common, meaning somebody at the studio would know somebody who'd just had a baby. It could be the hairdresser's sister's baby. The set painter's neighbor. Just somebody.

Actually there is probably something similar to Dawson casting when casting baby roles.

So the baby probably wouldn't be a newborn baby but one a little bit older and bigger, and possibly one who had been been alive long enough that their family knew they didn't cry much..

I suppose that if the baby is lucky enough to live to be 100 they would join the nifty nineties about 2057 and die about 2067, the last original cast member.

Unless, of course, medical advances greatly extend human lifespans.

Just yesterday, July 05-2022, I started a thread at the MovieChat site asking about who portrayed Thursday's child in Fort Apache (1948) .

https://moviechat.org/tt0040369/Fort-Apache/62c5140b1bfd387bd657a065/Thursdays-Child

Actually those who notice the credits known that Shirley Temple portrayed Thursday's child, and the question is really about who portrayed Thursday's grandchild, Michael Thursday York O'Rourke.

And if I hadn't looked at this thread I might not have thought to ask about Thursday's grandchild.
