The Romulans only attack using three ships anywhere in the series! In BOT they attack undetected by the bases along the perimeter of the Neutral Zone, in TDY they attack once the Enterprise crosses the NZ and in TEI! But where were they in TWTE??

Agreed, it would have made more sense to put a Bird-of-Prey in TOS-R than have a D7 again.
What?Real world reasons is they were avoiding using any designs created after 1969.[...]
I thought they got M5 on a Space Station (it may have only looked like Starbase 6...or was that K7?)Space station (Starbase 6? where they get M5)
I typed "Space station". You quoted "Space station". What the are you confused about? I saw the remastered station was labeled Starbase 6 someplace. Is that it?I thought they got M5 on a Space Station (it may have only looked like Starbase 6...or was that K7?)
They didn't avoid squat. LOL

Maybe that's what he meant but it sure isn't what he typed!I don't think that was what @Shawnster was trying to say. He meant that the people in charge of TOS-R didn't want to use designs from the TOS movies onward for ships that were meant for the TOS era (i.e. they didn't want to show the STIII BoP as the scout ship in "Friday's Child" because it didn't match the TOS design aesthetic.)
I was commenting on that the original TOS reused the K7 Space Station but the Station was too distant to read any labels. The TOS-R changed the K7 out for a CGI station. Putting a Starbase 6 label on the new CGI was a horrible retcon and I dismiss it vehemently. The script referred to it as "space station" seven times, and a Starbase zero times. I also prefer the idea that Starbases are planet based, with orbital maintenance and repair facilities. Stupid retcon.![]()
