Free Seven...

^She would have killed Deanna after the first hour and probably proposed to Data after the second.

I always wondered if the Queen let Seven stay on Voyager simply as a way to keep tabs on the ship.
I thought that the Queen had told Seven that she had allowed her to stay on Voyager. To help the Borg achieve a better understanding of humanity.
Borg Queen: "Spoken like a true individual. The last two years must have been a remarkable experience. You are unique."
Seven: "My experience will add to your perfection."
Borg Queen: "Yes."
Seven: "That is why you removed me from Voyager."
Borg Queen: "That is why we put you there in the first place. You believe that Voyager liberated you from the Collective. Did you really think we would surrender you so easily?"

Yes, as I said earlier, they let her go on purpose. The Queen confirms this in "Dark Frontier" and says she was let go because they needed a unique perspective on humanity to find out why they had been so difficult to assimilate.

She even demonstrated a new means of assimilation - an assimiliation virus that would spread from person to person and nobody would realise it until it was too late.

This is why I don't believe VOY defanged the Borg all that much. Clearly if they had the inclination to they could have assimilated the ship in a heart beat. The Queen had a soft spot for Seven and let her and her little collective on VOY be, for the most part.

Quick question, I have just been watching season 4 where Seven appeared, and from memory, didnt the doctor in one episode say that once her human dna stuff started taking over she wouldnt need to regenerate? It was the episode where she started eating, and she sat down for the first time. I am sure that happened because when I was watching it, I was thinking 'thats so silly, as she keeps her alcove for the whole series....'

I doubt it was anything soft, but she had her reasons; because it's clearly true they could have been toast at any moment the Borg chose. I think it makes the Borg more interesting, and I agree with you.

She could probably have anything she wants; I read in "Homecoming" where they managed to squeeze a regeneration unit into Icheb's dorm room at the academy.

One wonders why Icheb needs to regenerate now that he no longer has a cortical node...

Yeah, he did.

A missed opportunity.

Now that I think about it...

There were plenty of crewmembers who died. So, there were definately extra quarters.

I have always problems with the idea that the Borg Queen let Seven stay on Voyager by design. In "Scorpion" pt 2, the only reason that Seven of Nine was not killed when Chakotay blew the door open in Cargo Bay 2 sending the other Drones out into space, was that she was in the jeffries tube. Neither Chakotay or the Queen could have know the situation when he did blow open the door, for all they knew Seven was with the rest of the Drones, and would have been on her way out the cargo bay door also...

Resistance is Futile

Hi, teya. Nice to see you. :)

Yeah, dunno about the medical implications; he mapped out his recovery from the node removal himself for the Doctor. If he has a unit, he must need it for something. I'm sure some of our esteemed colleagues could come up with a reason; but it's just a novel anyway.
