Free Games!

Heads up! Destiny 2 is free (just the base game) on Blizzard's site. Now to November 18th.

Annnd I can't get it. Dammit Blizzard and their stupid SMS protection bs. Have to have a valid phone number... that's what I put in! :brickwall:
Where do I find it? I'm seeing it listed as 39 EUR.

Never mind, I found it.

I'm not sure if this will be of any help at all, but I managed to add it to my BN account without using SMS verification. Check your account settings; the solution could be as simple as disabling the function so you're only using email verification.

Cool. I'll have to try that out.

It's still giving me that error.

Also stumbled upon the Destiny 2 deal and reactivated my Blizzard account and started to download the 80GB package.. when in the middle i get an SMS that my account was suspended but it kept downloading and later on i could start to play.

Contacted customer support and received a reply today basically stating "Don't worry.. this shit happens sometimes" :D

Anyway.. it's nice to have an AA shooter again on my PC but my days of fast paced action games are long gone. I'm now truly in the round based strategy games.. much more laid back and far less stressful ;)

@Reverend Got it to work! Had to download Blizzard's app, then SMS worked for my phone :). Glad that said app didn't take up that much room on it either as I don't have a lot to work with.

(Glad to be able to have gotten it. Can't play it now, as my laptop doesn't have enough space and I need more ram, but it's something I can look forward to :).)

Super. - I still have the original, but I'll grab this:)
Just to clarify for anyone else that has the original and perhaps thinks this is just a scummvm wrapped port: the remaster is an objectively better copy.
They re-scanned all the artwork, redrew all the cell animation, re-encoded all the audio, re-rendered all of the 3D animation, adjusted the aspect ratio, the works!

And if you're nostalgic for 4:3, pixelation and audio compression, you can hotswap back and forth between the original and the remaster at any time. ;)

I knew it was completely remastered, but I didn't know about the hotswap option. Not likely to use it, but nice to have the nostalga option without reinstalling the original:D

Yeah I'm pretty certain that's been a consistent feature of all the Lucasarts remasters going all the way back to 'Secret of Monkey island'. Which to me is how a remaster should be done since it preserves the original alongside the new and improved, warts and all.
