Freak on YouTube

There's this guy, goes by the handle "rocketshipstud," on YouTube who either: A) Is mentally disturbed; B)Hates Star Trek XI; or C)Both.

He posts clip after clip, most 10 seconds or so, about how much he hates Star Trek XI. He seems to like using the word "afterbirth" a lot. He's profane, hateful... and now he's progressed to taking a video of himself urinating on the Playmates model of the new ship resting in a toilet.

OK, so he hates the movie, but buys the merchandise???

I get that some people don't like the new film. That's OK. I enjoyed it, but can point to issues with it. But this guy is so far gone it's absurd.

Making youtube rants bitching about Trek is one thing and taking a piss on the toys is quite another. I don't even want or need to see it because this person is obviously disturbed. Please don't update us when he moves to shitting on the Enterprise....PLEASE!!

When I try to go to the channel now, it just gives a "this account is suspended" message. Every one of the videos I checked has been removed for Terms of Use violation. He had a lot of clips.

Can't say that him going away would be a great disaster... I tried watching some of those videos, and they just got tiresome. The ones that you could understand usually all said the exact same thing.

Think he had reached 1,000 - of course, most no more than 10 seconds in length. Guess that's all he could do with his phone. Thank goodness.

Trust me, it's no great loss. No small loss. No itty bitty loss. No miniscule loss. ... well, you get the idea.

This is the kind of fringe "Trekkie" that gives the majority sane of us a bad rep.

I stumbled on that crap while searching out the newest Trek videos - and came across all those bogus "watch the full movie here" spam posts, which I also reported and hope were removed. Amazing that people pull that and apparently can get away with it. I guess YouTube is just overwhelmed or understaffed to the point it can't adequately police its own service.

You really aren't missing much. Most of what I saw was just random small scraps of video with garbled or very poor-quality audio. I think he uploaded everything he made, even his mistakes.

I don't remember how many clips YouTube has up at any given time, but you'd have to figure that it's impossible for them to police everything. The sheer volume alone would dictate that they need to rely on complaints from copyright-holders and on reports from regular users to tell them where something needs attention. They seem to be pretty responsive once they've got the word, though.
