After great urging from some friends and family I am going to be doing an 'audiobook' version of Frank Grayson's STAR TREK. It wont be a radio play because I will be reading it as a book, meaning I will be reading all the parts.
What I need help with, from all of you, are images of 'real people' for the roles. What does that mean?
Currently, for my written story, I have Kiefer Sutherland's and other actors/actresses images on the title pages to convey what these fictional characters, like Frank Grayson, look like. But I want to use images of 'real people' like us.
I will be using my own image as Frank, and my wife will be in the role of Frank's love interest, Linda. (She would have it no other way.) My own daughter/son will be playing the roles of Amber/Austin Grayson.
Since the story takes place right here in 2010, no one would need to use Starfleet uniforms or the like. Just real pictures.
Well, accept for the three main Klingon characters. Kor, K'taf and Kamal. Hopefully there are some of you who would be willing to let me use pictures of you as klingons...and if your a woman, I'll due some alterations to make a klingon woman...
No is getting paid to do this, its just for fun. And it may even be the biggest boondoggle in the history of Boondoggles. If you want to 'audition' your 'face' for a role, just go over to FANFIC right here on the BBS, and read the story a little and see if there is a character that you'd like to be...here is a short list of main characters I need..
Detective Jose Cortez...I would need someone in a 'suit'. This character is Frank's best friend and, like frank, is a detective for the san diego police department.
Kor...Yes, that Kor. The klingon ship is far from Earth, and his storyline is set apart from the rest of the story because of that.
Kataf..Kor's first officer.
Kamal...One of Kor's men who is actually on the Enterprise, in the brig, and aboard the 'fictonal' enterprise orbiting an Earth where Star Trek is just a TV show.
Stu Hammond. I would really love a disabled person in this role who is really in a wheel chair. This character runs the local news channel and is a key character.
Russian Supreme Commander Losif Soloyonvy. He is the 'bad guy' who wants to get his hands on the power of the Enterprise. You need to look 'stern' for this part, and we will crop your face and put it on a russian commander's body, of course.
Hank Morton. He is the cigar chomping General who runs NORAD, and he too wants to get his hands on the enterprise.
Mark Grayson...in my story he is played by Daniel Craig, and just like 007, he is a kick as MI6 agent.
This 'audiobook' version will be available on the web when I get done with the 'pilot episode'. If it goes over I will do more; if it crashes and burns, I wont'. Its just a crazy idea from my crazy mind..
