FOX: Sleepy Hollow - Season Discussion

This contributes to my lack of excitement.

I'm slowly working my way through Season 2 right now, and while I haven't noticed any significant drop in the overall quality of the series relative to Season 1, I am finding myself disappointed in the way the season marginalizes the Horseman of Death, especially since it also relies heavily on John Noble's Horseman of War, whom I just can't stand (even though I'm generally a fan of Noble as an actor).

Thankfully the individual stories being told episode-to-episode are interesting and engaging enough to offset my complaints.

Yeah, the individual stories were mostly good, but the whole thing didn't hang together-- and neither Katrina nor Henry really fit in.

I always thought they should have gone the opposite way with Katrina. Where Ichabod was the grumpy 'old man' complaining about modern ways and clinging to his clothing and the familiar, Katrina should have gone the opposite way and embraced the 21st century. It would have at least given her things to do that weren't already tread by Ichabod. Though there wasn't much that could have salvaged that character in S2 and made her stick out less like an unwanted third wheel.

I thought she did, at least where wardrobe was concerned. I remember her wearing some nicely tight jeans, anyway.

That's exactly it. They should have let the poor lady rest in peace.

I thought it actually looked like they were going to be doing some interesting stuff with Katrina when they first brought her to the present, but then it all fell apart not long after that.
