Hey,
A couple of weeks ago I was thinking of this game that my family used to have for our Macintosh LC back in the day (like, 1991 or 1992 "back in the day").
I think it was called "Galactic Empire" or "Galaxy Empire" or something like that. It was a strategy game where you had 1000 years to unite 20 planets in the universe. Most of them you had to use force to get them to join (and keep occupying forces until they joined - once they joined, they wouldn't leave).
There were four different kinds of civilizations. Primative (no space battles for you, limited material capabilities), something (may have space ships but not likely, better material producing), advanced (ships, decent material producing), and something else (spaceships and amazing material producing). The only way you could figure out what each planet was like was to send in spy satellites. One would get you very basic information, two would get you a rough idea of what the planet was like, and three would get you everything you needed to know.
The only thing I remember is that the planet you started out from was called Galactica, and another one was named Ootsi (which had another planet close by).
Does anyone know the game that I'm talking about, and if there's a Windows version of it available?
