F1 commits suicide. It was inevitable with all the ego's involved. That said, if Tony George's sisters want him to get rid of the IRL, who would be game to see the breakaway series include the Indianapolis 500 as a points paying World Championship event? What a great back-to-the-60's event THAT would be (however improbable) At least, the advent of a breakaway series might see a return of the Canadian GP (the one closest to me), so I'd be happy with it. Both sides are at fault, though. The teams simply MUST be open to reeling in these "Apollo Project" sized budgets, but Bernie needs to stop being such a pompous goon.

Good to see this ridiculous saga is going to be over.

Personally, it's also good to see Max Mosley step down at the next FIA election. It'll make the next few years interesting to see how well his plans for F1 will survive under a new administration.

Still, it's a shame we won't be seeing Lola return to F1.
