Formula One 2011

My brain was having trouble adjusting to the new pit lane/start-finish straight...the old one is so ingrained I'm having trouble shifting it!

Did you see the 3 stooges on the tandem at the beginning? It was great the way they cycled through the village, into the venue and then round the circuit. There were some very famous faces doing a double-take.

I have to admit that the old start-finish straight seemed shorter than I remembered. It's also a bit odd to see the cars approach Copse/Maggots/Becketts/Chapel later in the lap than usual, but I'll get used to it.

Well it certainly was one of the better races of the seasons, shame about the result (would have been nice to have a British 1-2-3finish) Plenty of overtaking, even without the DRS. Wheel to wheel racing. Just what we want as fans.

Though do you think Bernie will go for my idea, have a half wet-dry circuit at the tart. Certainly made things interesting at the British GP. Once again The oldest circuit since the F1 championship begain back in 1950, shows the new circuits how a circuit should be.

I really enjoyed the british race last night,it have everything, overtaking, crashes, spins and the button incident.can alonso win the championship or has vettel already\going to win it?.

It looks like the Blown Diffuser debate rumbles on, with a slight reversal of the rules indroduced for Sil verstone. Appearnatly you can blow the exhast any way you like by as much as you like, you just can't change engine maps between qualifing and the race.

It is so boring for me watching F1 from 2 years for now, mostly in this season. You know, Vettel wins about all races, sometimes Webber, Alonso... The pilots that I want to win, never win. :wah:

Personally I think rule changes should only be introduced mid-season for safety reasons. If something gives a team and advantage and it's within the rules, the other teams shouldn't go running to the FIA like cry babies trying to get it banned. It's not the FIA's fault that you didn't come up with this years latest innovation. What have we had recently, Double Defuser, f-duct, Blown defusers etc.. The list goes on and on.

And of course the subject of team orders came up during this race, which are of course legal again. Though perhaps we should have had "Webber is faster than you", rather than "Hold station". After all it was clear Webber had the faster car, as such if he was allowed to overtake Vettel earlier he might have been in a position to capitialise if Alonso made a mistake.

Well it seems that they change their minds again regarding the off throttle diffusers, the teams can used them for the rest of the season.guess redbull will win both championships again this year.

I seen that trulli has been replaced in the lotus this weekend by Karun chandhok,i dont think he going to been any bettter in the car than jarno, think they only giving hinm the miles so they he will experinced when they go to india and chandhok will be racing,Wonder if narain karthikeyan will be getting a drive as well that weekend?.

Well it was an interesting quali section now that i've finally gotten around to watching it on iplayer, the question is where did McLaren get that pace from.
