Forgotten great Sci Fi tv characters.

Oh yeah, I loved it, and I was always a little sad it didn't get more recognition while it was on the air.

To me a great all-time Devil is the Devil played by Jon Glover on the show "Brimstone." A very solid show from the 90's forgotten. I guess you could say he reprised the character many years later on Smallville.

I'm going to shout out Elizabeth Lochley

Which then makes me want to shout out Kate Lockley from Angel. I loved the way that she brought an outside human perspective to all of the supernatural goings on. Shame that we didn't see her again after Angel stopped her from committing suicide in Season 2. (The actress moved to NY to become ADA Serena Southerlyn on Law & Order.) IIRC, Holtz's minion Justine in Season 3 was originally supposed to be Kate.

Once Upon a Time as a whole has faded from the pop culture consciousness since it ended, which is sad because the series was phenomenal overall.

Technically fantasy not sci-fi, but I agree he was one of the best things about the show. The cast in general was overall very good. It was a fun if often eye-roll inducing show.

I am going with Professor Arturo on Sliders as well. I loved that character.

It's also a show that just recently ended but I feel like people have forgotten how great all of Tatiana Maslany's characters were on that show.

Also Zoidberg on Futurama who I think was my favorite or least second fav to Bender. Everyone remembers Bender and even Fry but I feel Zoidberg has been kind of forgotten.

I'm not sure how Forgotten he is, but Seth Green's character from Buffy. I thought his relationship with Willow was very nice and it was sad that they broke up. I wish the show had done a better job remembering it the more they got into the storyline with her and Tara.

Rev Bem - Andromeda

There were some interesting ideas explored with the character and his species. It's a shame the character didn't stick around longer.

As i recall the actor was severly allergic to the face prosthetics and makeup (like scratch your face off after a few minutes) and had to leave. Why the role was not recast i don't know as he was quite an interesting character.

As to the topic does Firefly count? I don't think such a fan favorite is forgotten by fans but maybe it is entering that age - the entire cast top to bottom needs to be mentioned there.

Why not Zoidberg?

I love him! Just finished a full rewatch of Futurama, and I love how he got such a happy ending in the second to last episode, he deserved it!

Twiki and Theo from BUCK ROGERS.

I'd be surprised if I wasn't the only person who remembers them.

I'm assuming you're talking about Orphan Black?

Yeah, I loved Zoidberg, but I have to agree that he really doesn't get as much attention as a lot of the other cast members.
Scruffy was great to.

Yeah, once they brought in Tara they did seem to pretty much forget about Oz.
And while I can understand why the reboot decided to start right off with Willow gay, I am a disappointed that means there's no Oz in that version.

I don't think Firefly, or any of it's cast or characters are at any risk of being forgotten. Pretty much everyone of them have gone to get some pretty significant roles, and Firely is almost always mentioned whenever they are discussed.

I've only seen the first 2 seasons of Orphan Black so far but I absolutely love that show. Actually, my favorite character on it is Donnie. There's some adorable dark humor in his relationship with Alison.

I really enjoyed Oz's deadpan humor and I wish that he'd stuck around, or at least come back for more guest appearances. We never saw him again after Season 4. :( It would have helped if Tara weren't such a boring character.

I'm guessing that he wasn't recast because the decided that it was too expensive to have a character with such heavy make-up on the show. You also saw this on Earth: Final Conflict, where the alien characters would just be no-shows for certain episodes.

Interviewed Tracy Scoggins in 99, and her big regret was that Brimstone ended before she could do an episode.

I liked Tara, but I thought her best scene was one of the episodes in Season 6 where she and Buffy were just talking. She was great at the friend role.

The problem with Tara was that they wanted to make Willow, the meekest character on the show, be the dominant one in the relationship. So that meant creating a character with so little personality that she barely registered most of the time. Even Riley contributed to the group dynamic by being aggressively bland. Tara was just watered down Willow. She did have her moments when they tried to develop more of her interactions with the other characters. There just wasn't enough of that.
