Forbiden Planet Movie, Thoughts and Questions on there Universe.

There's an ongoing thread about Forbidden Planet over on the All Sci-Fi board, where people have shared a lot of BTS images and kicked around ideas about remakes and sequels.
It was meant to show that something sinister was attacking anyone Morbius considered a threat. In the overall plot of the story as what morbius is actually doing/causing unfolds, yes the scenedoesn't make any real sense, since the Krell machine didn't seem to allow a user to mind control another person or animal.

Other movies could be set in the Forbidden Planet universe depicting crews of different ships. There would be no need to recast the characters or use deepfake technology.
Or a reboot/remake could work and be filmed in a retro style.
I think a trilogy would have been cool. If Forbidden Planet is the Tempest, then choose 2 other Shakespeare plays to reformat.

Or maybe they used robots. After all, Morbius who wasn't even a physicist (I think he was a linguist, which is odd, what would a linguist do in an expedition like this?) built Robbie after having had his IQ enhanced by the machine. So we can surmise that the Krell knew a lot about how to make robots. So it would make sense if these robots would be the ones using these shuttles.
You're just destroying what made the movie great. A straight forward story that allowed the viewers to use their imaginations. Not everything needs answers and the visuals simply will never live up to what people have in their collective imaginations.
Why a Linguist?
Why did they have Daniel in SG 1? because there are many different languages out there, and you need to talk to others. So say they find an alien species ( this time the Krell) He/she would work to read the language. So as a science vessel, that would be very important, but also useless if they don't find anything for them to study.

The monster was important to the visuals of the film, the look of the Kreel were not.
Whatever...
Maybe it would have been better as a radio drama so that people could use their imagination... THE WHOLE TIME.
Just offering my opinion. We have differing views, no need to be butthurt over it.

My opinion is what is important to the story should be there, what is unimportant should not. Pretty simple really.
The look of the Kreel were unimportant, and a current try to mine them to sell movie tickets will fall flat.
